A deadly accident in Suffolk County is being blamed on black ice. Police say an s. U. V. Lost control and slammed into a Suffolk County transit bus on montauk hay just before 7 00 a. M. The s. U. V. Driver was pronounced dead on the scene. No passengers were on the bus. Southampton police say this was one of 17 accidents caused by black ice over an eighthour period. Speaking of the conditions, lets talk about the temperature and what could be a rainy weekend for us. We will continue to see the temperature rising from this point on. 45 around j. F. K. 42 teterboro. 43 around newark and 40 white plains. These numbers are warm, warmer than normal. Temperatures should be about 35, 36 degrees. Police say the man accused of slashing a woman in chelsea may have committed several similar attacks. Carry bases more Kari Bazemore has been linked to a similar attack last week. Crews in manhattan are working to fully restore Oxygen Service to a hospital after a man who fell from a roof damaged some equipment. The truck made several stops before sanitation workers got out of a gate to access another dumpster and they heard yelling and pounding and they called in a rescue crew to get the guy out.
