Shes outside, and liz and i were talking that we felt the temperature drop throughout the afternoon. Its cold. I know, not only is the temperature dropped off a few degrees, but also the winds have gotten a little stronger, i feel like, late this afternoon, and were reading maybe 21 miles an hour gusts in the park. We could still have windy conditions throughout this evening, but the weekend is looking not only brighter but also quite warm in some areas. Well start first with a check of the temperatures around the area. 40 degrees in central park. The skies kind of have this dark cloud lining the skyline, evening, 20 to 30 Miles Per Hour winds cant be ruled out. The last of the weak flurries flurries and light showers have moved to the east, and the next 7 hours were expecting temperatures to drop below freezing in the city by 11 00 tonight. You can see the skies clearing out. The winds that have come out of the northwest still at this hour, gusting 20 to 25, 30 Miles Per Hour for newark, and 31 Miles Per Hour for jfk. Those will swing out of the west and eventually the southwest. And that change will bring temperatures up pretty dramatically. Sunny on saturday, with a chilly start. And we see the temperatures climbing a lot more mild by sunday, and what that means is the current places with snow still at about 10 to 15 inches i think that will help with anybodys car whos been encased in snow. We couldnt with the melt down and temperatures on sunday getting into the 40s will certainly help with that. This clear and cold pattern overnight will also allow the winds to diminish and the below freezing temperatures that we wake up tomorrow to will see the winds start to settle down. We go up to 38 degrees tomorrow, so still has a chilly feel to the atmosphere through saturday afternoon. Its really sunday that we get the warmth and temperatures climbing to the mid40s. That sounds pretty good. Saturday, 46, and then sunday, we see our temperatures, like i said, temperatures will be going into the 50s and next midweek, were almost at 60 degrees. So thats going to be a real nice feel to it. All right, well close out this weekend, you guys, or this week with chilly temperatures, and look forward to the weekend. More melt down coming in the second half of the forecast in a few minutes. Well talk timing of that potential warm up. That could get near 60 degrees. That would feel pretty good and what a change it would be. It would feel glorious. And the longterm patterns for the first couple of weeks of february are looking above average. Thats good news. We like to hear that. Thats right. Thanks amy. Thank you, amy. When it gets cold again, and it will, theres no question about that.
