In the south division of the cmpd police department. Homicide detectives developed probable cause and made an arrest the subject arrested is mrs. Feldmans son, irwin j. Feldman. The detectives have continued to work on the case since it occurred and like i said they developed probable cause to make this arrest today. I would love to be able to get into the specifics but what i can tell you is that interviews and physical evidence led us to the point where we made the arrest today. And i know during the time this incident occurred there was great concern in the neighborhood and fear and trepidation which i understand, i share those fears. But i can tell you that there is no reason for that community to be afraid of any sort of random violence or outstanding suspect. We have made an arrest and this is a known suspect in this case. M. At a secure officers from agencies load up. Their targets include 16 different suspected drug dealers. Including kingpin ernest bevin. He is a criminal and a thrug he is somebody that you do not need in your neighborhood. Sheriff brought in federal agents to assist in the roundup. The priority suspects wanted on federal charges went down first. Our cameras were rolling as they were marched into the Union County Courthouse one by one. Then it was back out into the field. After knocking off the suspects wanted on federal charges the next thing they did they got in position to make more arrests these suspects wanted on state charges. These people are predators. You know, they are the people that prey on the young and they want them to grow up to get hooked to demand the drugs and bring them the money. March of 2014 this sting titled operation roosevelt runners took 136 kilos of cocaine off the street and additional 53 kilos of crack cocaine. Detectives say two years of work led up to this. His defense lawyers say bullets came nowhere near officers and he was not aware of what he was doing. Charlie sane is a cornelius businessman. He listened as both sides gave opening statements. But sips a va specialist could not get him into until january he qualified for the Choice Program. The Choice Program is not working better than the va does.
