A live look at route 202 right near route 29. You can see that active construction. Its not causing any slowdowns in the area. In fact, average speeds on 202 are in the mid50s right now. We still have this ramp closure, 422 eastbound. The Armand Hammer boulevard ramps are closed right now as the result of a longterm construction project. That is expected to be out there for another few weeks. And i mentioned speeds looking pretty good across the area. 55 is what were seeing on 422, same situation on the blue route this morning. And if your travels take you on 95, no delays. 55 is the average speed there. Chris. All right, jillian. New from overnight, Philadelphia Police are looking for a man who they say tried to run over two officers this morning. This happened. Really within the past hour. The officers were running the plates on a car on Albert Street in frankford and found outside the man inside the car was wanted for murder. When they approached the car, they say the suspect tried to run over them. No one was hurt, but police are still looking for the suspect at this hour. Also new overnight, a man is in Critical Condition after being thrown from his car in a crash in philadelphia just after 2 00 this morning on the inner drive of roosevelt boulevard in ron hurst. Police say the driver lost control of his car, smashed into that tree and thats when the car overturned. New from overnight, a 5yearold girl reported missing in trenton was found safe and sound. An amber alert was issued late last night. Police were investigating this case as a possible carjacking. It turns out, though, the familys car was stolen, but the child, the girl was not in the car. New developments overnight in the Ebola Outbreak. The nurses who treated that patient that died last week at a dallas hospital say they worked for days in dangerous working conditions. National nurses united claims that those nurses worked without proper protective gear and dealt with changing protocols. They also say the entire lab specimen Delivery System could have been contaminated. 76 hospital workers are now being monitored. One nurse has ebola. Shes doing well. Federal Health Officials are also admitting that the government wasnt aggressive enough in containing the virus and they say they could have been more hands on with that hospital staff in dallas once ebola was diagnosed in the original patient. And an Ebola Task Force has been formed in Delaware County. Members of that team are meeting this morning to discuss how prepared schools are in this area. Well, every year, the District Attorney here in Delaware County holds a safe school summit, a way for School Leaders and police to meet and talk about the different threats against students. And this morning at the summit, ebola will be one of the first items discussed. The goal is to make sure that all schools here in Delaware County are prepared in case ebola becomes a threat locally. Yesterday county leaders, as you said, created the ebola and Infectious Disease task force. Theyve been invited to this mornings summit, where theyll talk about that virus as well as enterovirus and the flu. Theyre being asked to send in patients to see if the staff can identify them as ebola patients and put on the protective gear correctly. No cases of ebola have been diagnosed or confirmed in new jersey. A New Castle Company is the one supplying the gear worn by Health Care Workers across the world. The Dupont Company based in wilkins wilkinson. Since outbreak began in west africa, dupont has more than tripled production of those products. The World Health Organization estimates a monthly need for 300,000 personal protection suits and 3 million of those could be needed over the next nine months. The coast guard will resume its search this morning for a man who was jetskiing in stone harbor, cape may county. 68yearold Thomas Graham is still missing. Officials say he never came home after going jetskiing in the bay. He was last seen yesterday afternoon in the area of the 1100 block of stone harbor boulevard. Sentenced to death. That is the punishment a Montgomery County jury handed down yesterday evening for the man who murdered a 10monthold girl and her grandmother. Raghunandan yandamuri showed little emotion as that sentence was read in norristown last night. The jury convicted him of killing little sanvi vienna and her good morning in 2012. Lawyers on both sides say they were not surprised by the jurys decision. Both of us felt that if he had expressed remorse, that we would have had a better chance to save his life, but that wasnt his strategy, and accordingly, here we are. Defense lawyers say they will likely appeal the death sentence. Happening today in Delaware County, a former collingdale councilman will be charged for stealing millions from his place of work. James brian pleaded guilty to theft charges. Authorities say over 11 years, he stole nearly 3 million to support a gambling problem. He resigned from the Collingdale Borough Council after his arrest last year. Today in philadelphia, Brandon Ruffin is scheduled for a preliminary hearing, accused of murdering a 3yearold girl. Authorities say ruffin kuld panira borum last august. Police say he was shooting at a man nearby when a bullet hit the little girl on the porch of a nearby home. A woman braiding taneras hair was also wounded. Happening today in camden, theyre celebrating the opening of the first new supermarket in that city in 40 years. Its all part of a rebirth for camden. New jerseys Economic Development authority has delayed its vote on whether to give Lockheed Martin 100 million in tax breaks to operate in camden. Well see some scattered showers this morning develop and some heavy downpours with storms coming in tonight, but we could see some pretty good showers during the day as well. Those heavy downpours could lead to some localized street flooding, but no widespread flooding expected at this time. Look at the 70s right now for allentown, northeast philadelphia, millville with clouds overhead. Its dry right now in cape may. Cape may will be avoiding the showers for most of the day, but tonight that will change. The wind, thats another story. That is still with us after a breezy day today helping to boost our temperatures into the upper 70s and low 80s yesterday. Look at the winds gusting to more than 20 miles an hour in the pocono mountains, reading and lancaster and parts of south jersey as well. Were watching the radar screen, which is showing a line of showers, just some light showers to the west, but this is the heavier rain thats going to move in during the evening hours. Medicares open Enrollment Period begins today, which will allow you to sign up or make changes to your benefits for 2015. Experts say medicare customers will have fewer plans to choose from this year, but they will still have plenty of options. People who are eligible for medicare can transfer out of the Affordable Care act. Open enrollment runs until december 7th and coverage starts in the new year. It will be made up of four veteran officers and a supervisor. New this morning, the Ronald Mcdonald house is celebrating its 40th anniversary today, and it all started in philadelphia. The cofounders are former eagles general manager jimmy murray and former c. H. O. P. Doctor audrey evans. Murray went to evans because a players daughter had cancer. She had a vision for a house where patients families could stay during a long treatment process at the hospital. Well, murray then went to mcdonalds and it snowballed from there.
