A 32yearold man is now dead after an apparent case of road rage. Were told he collapsed here outside of his own home. Right here behind us. Police say it all unfolded just before 9 00 p. M. Along north fifth street. The victim was out here blocking traffic while arguing with his exfwoi exgirlfriend when the suspect opened fire. He shot the victim in the head and chest. His body remains on the scene tonight and the shooter took off. Our shooting victim was on foot just blocking traffic while arguing with his girlfriend causing people to back up in traffic, not be able to drive around him. For some reason our 32yearold victim was standing in the middle of the street and the shooter in the green minivan got into some sort of argument with him and appears the motive is road rage which resulted in a homicide. Reporter now, within Minutes Police found the suspects getaway vehicle. The minivan you see here was found along west indiana. Were told that its being held there for processing. The suspect, again, this evening still on the run. Now at this hour, about a dozen witnesses have been taken down to Police Headquarters for questioning. Detectives tell us theyre reviewing Surveillance Video taken from two nearby cameras in the area. So this is still a very active scene.
