You find out someone is in here with a gun and shooting himself and his wife. Reporter on the second floor is where investigators say 63yearold raymond wychowanic, visiting his wife, spent 45 minutes before pulling the trigger killing her. Sources tell nbc 10, the woman was not suffering a terminal illness. Its not clear if she filed for a restraining order. Are you looking into that . Yes. Reporter he was airlifted to a trauma center. But police found another victim dead inside their home. Upon arrival, the detectives discovered another individual with gun shot wounds. That individual has been pronounced. Im not going to release that name. But, again, were trying to determine, figure out how that ties in to what happened here. Reporter the family has lived there 20 years and the son is in his 30s. Weirded out. Im next door and some guy just murdered his wife. Reporter police here just a few minutes ago who were carrying out a search warrant wrapped up their investigation, took down the crime scene tape just within the last half hour or so. Police do tell us that the person who was discovered here, its not clear at this point whether or not they were victimized or killed or whether or not this may have been a selfinflicted gun shot wound. Police did recover a gun at the room. They tell us they will do tests on that gun to determine if it is linked to this house here. In the meantime, raymond was airlifted to Cooper Medical Center where he is suffering lifethreatening gun shot wounds. Stratford hospital has resumed to normal operations. Live in glendora, im cydney long, nbc 10 news. A lot of questions. Kidnapped and thrown into the Schuylkill River. Police are investigating after pulling two bodies from the river, a third man got out of the water still bound and bleeding. A lone survivor says he was abducted by four to five men, tied up, stabbed and dumped in the river. He managed to get out alive. The bodies of two others were pulled from the water. Doug shimell just got an update from police. He is joining us live with the latest information. Reporter police say the survivor originally claimed he was taken from the intersection in southwest philadelphia and thrown into a van with two strangers who were bound and stabbed but then detickives say the survivors story started to change. Officers patrolling along the Schuylkill River early wednesday morning were stunned. Observed a 23yearold male. He was walking in his under wear with his hands and feet bound. He was bleeping from multiple stab wounds. Reporter police say he told them he was the only survivor of a brutal attack. He told officers that himself and two of his friends were abducted, were stabbed, their hands and feed were bound, they were placed into the back of some type of automobile or van. Reporter detectives say two of the three men, all of asian dissent were weighted down. Those two did not survive. The third was able to swim to shore. All three of the individuals were targeted. Through our investigation, we believe its some kind of drug next us at the crux of this double homicide. Reporter investigators say the survivor under went surgery at Hahnemann Hospital today. He is in critical condition. He does have a criminal record and he may have known his alleged attackers. Theres a Northern Liberties connection to the case. Temperatures flirting with the 90 degree mark for the second straight day. This is the first time we have had two hot days in a row all month. The victims mother took the witness stand and glared at christina regusters. The mother told the jury as soon as she saw the video, she knew it couldnt be anyone who normally wore muslim garb. She said it was on wrong. She dabbed her eyes and so did jurors as she described seeing her daughter for the first time after she had been missing for 18 hours back in january 2013. Right now the victim is testifying. Nbc 10s lu ann cahn is in the courtroom. She will have a live report for us as soon as that testimony is over. Sky force 10 over a deadly crash involving a pedestrian in wilmington this morning. This halved shortly after 8 00. It shut down traffic there. Police say the 29yearold woman was in the crosswalk trying to cross the street when she was hit. They believe she hadnt realized the light turned green. Police dont expect to file charges. To a deadly accident at an arizona shooting range thats raising questions today in the debate over guns. It involves a 9yearold girl and an uzi. We want to warn you, the video was taken shortly before that instructor died. He was trying to teach the little girl how to use the gun. The kick back was too much for her to handle. She lost control of the weapon and then accidentally killed the man. The ranges website lists the minimum age as 8. The girls parents were there. Many question as to why a 9yearold needs to handle a fully automatic weapon. Another one of these decisions where guns we treat guns differently than Everything Else in this country. We refuse to acknowledge these are dangerous items. This incident is extremely unusual. I have been at this now for 40 years. I have never heard of any of this happening. No charges will be filed. We did research to find the laws concerning children being allowed at shooting ranges in our area. In pennsylvania, anyone under 16 must be accompanied by someone 18 or older. In new jersey, a child under 18 is permitted to shoot at a competition or target practice if supervised by an adult who has a permit to carry. Delaware allows children to possess a handgun in sporting or Recreational Activities while under accept visisupervision of. City council volted to suspend consideration of an ordinance. They suggested the election board place it on the ballot in november. They are fighting for workers to earn o of sick pay for every 30 hours of work. Business owners say that could put them out of business. Investigating the high cost of low wages. About 100 people showed up for the first meeting of the delaware low wage Worker Task Force in wilmington. That task force examining low wage jobs like fast food, retail and security jobs and compared them to other sectors. Reporter i want to show you the building. Its in the center of the screen. This is the lower providence township building on 100 park lane drive in lower providence. We are seeing police focusing on one parking lot in particular. As we zoom in closer here, you can see the crime scene tape set up blocking off all of this area. In that parking lot we saw in the past ten minutes crews focusing on this suv, one body was removed from here. We have seen some investigators taking pictures and gathering evidence from this suv here. We are told one person was shot. Live, Christine Maddela, nbc 10 news.
