You need more than heat and humidity at the ground to get showers and thunderstorms. You have those ingredients to the west. Theres maryland, severe storm there. Some other storms approaching harrisburg. Even more are back to the west. Yeah, there are going to be showers and storms in the area this evening. Not over the next couple of hours. But that stuff from maryland starts moving eastward, going into delaware, especially New Castle County. It will take a few hours. Another area goes toward the poconos. Showers and storms overnight. The district has announced it is scaling back on transportation for students, reducing Sanitation Services and Cutting School police officers. He was arrested in bensalem, bucks county in early april after a threeday man hunt. He is accused of killing a 17yearold boy. He was found dead in an apartment in the Spring Garden section of philadelphia. He had been shot in the head. They were childhood friends. They say they thought of each other as a brother. They took the suss spent into their home when he had no place to go. Three philadelphia teachers accused in a cheating scandal faced a judge today. They are a among five educators facing criminal charges including tampering with public records, forthly and conspiracy. State prosecutors say the five educators, including the principal, ran a cheating ring for the state standardized tests. Philadelphia School DistrictOfficials Say in all, 138 educators have been implicated in widespread cheating. Three times was not the charm for two local men. They have been arrested for allegedly robbing the same gas station three times in a month. 49yearold jack calman and 53yearold Arthur Schelling schellingering wischellinger were arrested. They are accused of robbing a gas station three times in late august. They were caught on video. And detectives are working to figure out if they are linked to other burglaries in the area. New details about security breeches at the state medical examiners office. They claim Police Evidence tape were found in the drug evidence vault. They believe that tape allowed thieves to easily steal drugs. State police shut down the lab in february. The cost for managing toxic contamination could top 1 million.
