Reporter keith and renee, genuine surprise. This block north 10 street in north philadelphia has been under surveillance for at least a week. The target of that surveillance we learned has two young girls, and neighbors say she kept pretty much to herself. The blind shade drawn inside the house we traced back to Keonna Thomas. Neighbors say she shared wit her two daughters, her mother and her grandmother. Three american flags dot the front awning where hours before the fbi arrested thomas for attempting to aid terrorists. She didnt bother nobody. She came and gone. She was always in her religion attire you know. She didnt bother nobody. Reporter Roni Patterson told us her children played with thomases kids. She said police have been in the neighborhood all week but didnt know what the fbi was specifically doing here until today. Today they just went in you know and brought her out. And thats when we see the counterterrorism body wear and stuff like that. Oh, okay. Reporter this is the first time thomas has been arrested. We knocked and twice called numbers linked to the address. The woman who answered the phone told us she was related to thomas, but said they had no comment. Now we talked to more than a half dozen neighbors here on north 10 street. They basically echoed each other, saying that thomas kept pretty much to herself, and that they are truly surprised with what she is charged with. For the investigators, im mitch blacher, nbc 10 news. Yesterday we told you about two women in queens arrested in a terror plot. The women are charged with planning to build a bomb out of propane gas tanks. Investigators say one woman communicated with al qaeda and the other woman watched violent videos made by isis. The women allegedly talked about bombing military or government sites. Just how Many Americans have gone to join isis . The u. S. Director of National IntelligenceJames Clapper says about 180 americans left to go to the middle east. That includes people who may not have gotten there as well as people who did join isis or were killed fighting or went elsewhere after fighting. About 40 of the 180 were found to have gone on humanitarian missions and were not terrorist threats. Isis is a Splinter Group of al qaeda that started in iraq in 2006. Its goal is to create an Islamic State in iraq and syria. As of march 12 the cost of the u. S. Air Campaign Stands at 1. 83 billion and counting. Otherwise just sprinkles across the area. This is all the way through the shore to ocean county that is rain on the lighter side. Through kent county and delaware, just light rain out at the moment. But as we go through it later on this evening, there is a chance we could see at least a couple of thunderstorms. Another area of rain, and some storms flaring up down to our south and west. This is moving in our direction. Theyll be watching us as we go through the rest of the evening. As for temperatures they will still mild. 7 00 p. M. This evening, we still do expect some showers around. Some of the rain could be locally heavy. I dont think everyone will see the heavy rain. But there is a chance we could see some embedded heavy showers. And by 7 00 temperatures staying about the mid to low 60s. By 10 00 tonight, the chance of rain may be a couple of thunderstorms. Still will be in the forecast. And temperatures will be staying in the 50s and 60s. So still a very mild evening. As far as the Severe Threat as we go through tonight, yes, we could see some locally heavy rain and some thunderstorms. But the chance of any hail or tornado activity, that is going to stay very low through the area. So mainly well just be watching for the threat of some thunderstorms. Today about 15 of his supporters rallied in front of the attorney generals office. They play abu jamal is not getting proper medical care. He is on death row for the 1982 shooting that killed a Philadelphia Police officer. Officer Daniel Faulkner was shot to death by abu jamal during a routine traffic stop. Abu jamal claims he is innocent. We want the necessary medical health care for our brother mumia abu jamal. We do not want him suffering laboring in that prison unnecessarily. Supporters are demanding daily visits with abu jamal. Funeral service will be held tomorrow for the offduty officer killed inside his Delaware County home. A viewing will happen at 10 00 a. M. For darby borough hudson. There will be a motorcade that will pass the firehouse. Officer hudson was offduty when he was shot to death with his own service gun. It happened at his house in glenolden last saturday. His girlfriend was charged with the murder. Police were already holding finch for an alleged assault on hudson from last summer. Religious leaders from different faiths are coming together this good friday to denounce an ad featuring adolf hitler that is now on the side of septa buses in philadelphia. As we have been reporting, the ad stirred complaints and concerns and even a legal battle from septa that the Transit Company eventually dropped. Jesse gary spoke to the organizers of the event. What is the message . Reporter renee, their message is to come together as one. Septa complied with the court ruling and put up ads on 2 3 of their buses on wednesday. They completed the process today. The same day members of different faiths joined in solidarity against the ads message. Manage that was meant to be divisive god has blessed us to make it something that will help us to teach each other. We have new information as it supports the idea that the crash of Germanwings Flight 9525 was deliberate murder in the sky. The initial reading of the black box data recorder shows the copilot sped up the plane even as he used the autopilot to descend into the alps last week. Prosecutors say Andreas Lubitz repeatedly tried to stop an alarm from sounding. The second black box was recovered yesterday. It was found in a ravine and was so badly burned the normal orange casing was black. And its still gathering evidence for the crash. Prosecutors also revealed that lubitz had spent time online in the days before the crash researching suicide methods and cockpit door security. Two americans killed in the crash. Emily selke and her mother yvonne were both on board. Yvonne was a graduate of Springfield High School in Delaware County. Stories of horror are emerging from the massacre at a kenyan college. At least four gunmen in suicide vests targeted christians in the killing spree yesterday. Survivors said the gunmen asked them their religion. Christians were shot on the spot and muslims were freed. The country is braced for more possible attacks. But today religions are pulling together with the one kenya trending on social media. So that is not going to be out of the question later on this evening, there is a chance we could see at least a few through the area. Then the winds increase. Mostly overnight tonight. But you will definitely notice it tomorrow. Winds could be gusting near 40 miles an hour or higher in some locations. So its going to be a really windy saturday. The entire weekend is going to be cooler than what we have basically seen today. And yesterday. But sunday is going to be a really good day.
