Reporter initially we thought the student was 18 years old. We learned the student who has been arrested is 20 years old. He is a freshman. Hes a criminal justice major from lodi, new jersey. This morning, students saw that he had posted something that was alarming but the scary part for them, they didnt know who had posted it. It was anonymous. They notified administrators right away. We cannot in Law Enforcement take a chance of just overlooking an incident. Reporter we blurred out the offensive language, the post says i will attempt to shoot everyone who i hate and who bully me every day. The threat made reference to virginia tech, to denver and threatened some of the people here at Widener University. Through our analysis we were able to identify an ip address. From the ip address we were able to learn as to who was the person that had access to the commuter that sent that message that was very serious in nature. Police say no weapons were found. The posting was made on a social media site called yikyak around 10 30 this morning. Its popular on some campuses and has been banned on others because posts are anonymous and can be used for bullying. Police say the post was actually made from a cell phone but they seized the students laptop. Again, they didnt find any weapons in the students dorm room. Also breaking this afternoon, there are five new cases of enterovirus d68 in new jersey. One case is in camden county, the other in Mercer County. The Mercer County case is not associated with the death of a preschooler last week. Recent tests found elevated levels of chemicals in public wells around the base. That chemical was used in firefighting training at the base decades again. Police found rooms that had plastic covering windows, ceilings covered with air fresheners and walls plastered with newspaper articles. A family is suing an Indiana Police department after a traffic stop turns violent. The video was shot two weeks ago. Thats jones in the passenger side. His girlfriend was driving. They were pulled over by hammond Police Department for not wearing a seat belt. Her 14yearold son is recording in the back seat. Jones refused multiple requests to get out of the car. Watch what happens next. The officer smashed the window and used a stun gun on jones before arresting him. Now he, his girl and and her two children are suing and alleging excessive force. Jones said he tried explaining to the officers he was trying to get to the hospital to see his sick mother. I felt like my civil rights were thrown out the window, along with my body. The new york city authorities shut down an Identity Theft ring targeting customers at saks fifth avenue. Investigators say thieves with the help of new york stor employees stole more than 400,000 in brand name bags and shoes. Authorities say the ring leader, tamara williams, shared the personal information of 22 saks credit card customers to five employees, then williams allegedly gave a list of items to buy to other members of the crime ring who came into the store acting as those defrauded customers. To meet with the employees who were in on the scheme. Its more than 200 pairs of shoes and approximately 80 bags and accessories from some of the top designers in the world, including chanel, valentino. At least oneof these pair of shoes is more than 2,000 and one bag is worth more than 10,000. Police say this scheme was done over the course of 91 transactions. Williams and for saks employees are charged with first degree Identity Theft, among other charges. At t could be the most recent victim of a data breach. The mobile giant is warning 1600 customers in vermont that an employee managed to get unauthorized access to their personal data in august. The company says the workers may have gotten Social Security numbers and drivers license numbers. That employee has since been fired. Police are now investigating. Walmart has cut Health Insurance benefits for 30,000 workers. The company is ending coverage for employees who work less than an average of 30 hours per week. Walmart says its doing this to cut costs. The new policy starts january 1st. Their Senior Vice President of benefits says the company had to make tough decisions after many more people enrolled in its Health Care Plans than expected after the rollout of the Affordable Care act.
