She arrived in bethesda overnight. Officials say she in stable condition and resting comfortably. Tom corbett says three pennsylvanians were on a nurse with a nurse who tested positive for ebola. They havent been back home since the monday trip. They are not showing symptoms. They are not being quarantined. They are free to return to pennsylvania. State Health Workers are in contact with the people and will know if they come home. Chris cato joins us live from texas Presbyterian Hospital in texas. The workers there are still being monitored . Yes, they are, monitored and limited in their movement. We got our hands on this legally binding agreement given by the Texas State Department of health given to the 75 workers who may have been exposed to ebola here at this hospital. By signing this agreement, these employees are agreeing to several restrictions, including no traveling by plane, bus, ship or train for 21 years. They cant go to restaurants, stores, theaters or any other place where you may find a lot of people for 21 days. 21 days is because thats the end of the incubation period for any ebola exposure. They also have to be monitored twice a day with one inperson visit by a Public Health official taking their temperature, checking vital signs. One hospital worker, as you told people, obviously did not get this memo because before the memo came out, she was already on board a cruise ship. Here is a photo of the cruise ship, the carnival magic. It left sunday, october 12, and is off the coast of belize. She is a Lab Supervisor at texas Health President bebyterian. She handled lab samples. Shes in selfquarantine on the ship. Shes being monitored. The u. S. State Department Says shes showing no signs of having the disease. Carnival released a statement that reads in part they are not the only ones using extreme caution this morning. Are they going to keep her if her room until the ship returns to port . Do you have details on that . You know, its an interesting scenario. Obviously, the passengers the other passengers on the cruise ship probably arent thrilled with the news about this fellow passenger being possibly exposed to ebola. The u. S. State department has tried to make arrangements with the belize government to have her taken off the ship so that they could get a plane over there and get her back to her husband here in the united states. The belize government is saying, hold on, we dont want her here on our soil. Lets keep her out there at sea. The cruise ship is docked. Its a sevenday cruise. Its set to return on sunday. Alex douglass left the hospital with a Police Escort yesterday. A spokesperson said all the nurses were crying as they watches him leave. He was wounded in the september 12th ambush outside the Blooming Grove barracks. That ambush claimed the life of corporal bryon dickson. 31yearold eric frein has alluded Police Despite an intense manhunt. They believe they have him tracked within a fivemile area in the poconos. One neighbor suggested crane has built a bunker. A woman we spoke with dismissed that theory saying someone would have seen frein building that kind of hideout. Police are talking to the driver of a tractortrailer involved in a chase with officers. Witnesses say the truck sped through stop signs and signals last night. There are several bullet holes in the drivers side windshield. The driver started driving toward a Police Officer and his cruiser. Thats when officers fired at the truck. The driver was taken to the hospital. No word on any injuries. Now from our delaware bureau. A crash in newark claimed the lives of two men. This happened after midnight. The two men, both 21, were killed. Police say their car collided with an suv. The 48yearold driver of the suv was taken in the hospital in serious condition. This morning investigators trying to figure out what caused a fire outside the city tavern. Were told the fire was in a dumpster. Some of the smoke managed to make it inside the building. Fire Officials Say theres no damage to the restaurant. Second street was closed for a time. It reopened around 5 30 this morning. No reports of any injuries. New information in an attack on a Police Officer at a middle school that happened over the summer. The county grand jury incited a School Board Member and a Council Woman for aggravated assault on a Police Officer and other offenses. This video shows the alleged attack from july 10th. They say the officer was called to the middle school to investigate possible underage drinking. They say the two obstructed the investigation and then assaulted the officer. New information on a lottery that cut enrollment at a charter school. 535 students now have to find new schools from palmer. More than 1,200 children attended the north philadelphia school. More than half were allowed to stay. They are in the process of revoking the schools charter. It claims the school overspent and overenrolled, violating its charter. We talked to one mom whose child was cut from the school. They knew they shouldnt have kept enrolling because there wasnt enough room. Parents wouldnt have to go through this. We have to find new schools at the last minute. The process to revoke the schools charter could take months and ultimately shut that school down.
