The red cross is helping out the five people who lived inside the home. A stubborn fire in West Philadelphia forced police to shut down lancaster avenue at 40th street earlier this morning. It ended up reopening just after 7 00. The fire broke out just after 1 45 this morning in a store. It took crews more than 45 minutes to bring it under control. It flared up again just before 4 30. No one was hurt. A man is under arrest as police say he broke into the target store. Security guards called police when they saw the man inside the business after hours. Officers surrounded the store, arrested him and charged him with attempted burglary. Philadelphia police are investigating a Home Invasion and possible robbery in west oak lane.
