Overnight, a second person has died from injuries in that accident. Many of the injured were taken to christiana hospital in newark. Thats where nbc 10s Rosemary Connors joins us live now with an update. Rosemary . Reporter well, tracy, we now know the identities of the two women who were killed in this crash. The first woman has been identified as 30yearold idil bahsi of istanbul, turkey. She died overnight at the hospital. The other victim is identified as 54yearold huay chen of new york city. Their tour bus never made it back to new york. As you can see from our video from skyforce10 over the scene yesterday, the tour bus rolled on to its side. Thats where it ended up. The first victim who died was pressed underneath of the bus and ejected from her seat. According to state police, the driver, whos been identified as 56yearold jinli zhao of flushing, new york, was trying to navigate a turn on the offramp from state route 1 south to 13 north. Thats when the bus initially rolled over on to its roof and then slid down an embankment. The tour bus is owned by am usa express. The tours are sponsored by eworld travel and tours, all based out of new york. The group had been sight seeing in washington, d. C. , over the weekend. The tourists were from all over the world. Last night we spoke to a passerby who came upon the scene as he was heading back to college. He got out to help before police arrived. Speaking mandarin, indian, portuguese, spanish. So, when i did try to help, it was kind of hard because of the communication gap, but it was really a diverse amount of people on the bus, but all of them were speaking the same language, all in pain, all crying out for help and i tried to help as much as i could when i got on to the scene. Reporter yesterday shortly after this accident happened around 4 30, the 49 passengers and driver, the people who initially survived were taken to area hospitals all over new castle county, including here at christiana hospital. And new from overnight, Philadelphia Police are searching for two gunmen in a triple shooting in the citys c cochessing neighborhood. Police were sitting on a front step when two men shot them. A 48yearold man was shot several times, including to his prosthetic leg. A 21yearold man was also shot. Both are in Critical Condition at the hospital of university of pennsylvania. A 28yearold woman was grazed in the leg by a bullet. And now to the manhunt in the pocono mountains. Pennsylvania state police say that theyre closing in on the man wanted for the murder of a trooper more than a week ago. The search for eric frein is now focused on an area near the village he grew up in. Authorities say frein ambushed and then shot and killed a Pennsylvania State trooper nine days ago. Investigators say they found several items belonging to frein, including a rifle and ammunition. Authorities say he is a survivalist with a grudge against law enforcement. And a 17yearold is in Critical Condition this morning after being shot by police in west philadelphia. This happened around 9 00 last night here in the 5600 block of media avenue. Officers say the teen pointed a gun at them during a chase, so they shot him. 6 05 right now. Happening today, more than 500 nurses from crozerchester hospital are expected back out on the picket line. Nbc 10 in Delaware County sunday for the start of the planned twoday walkout. The nurses have been working without a contract since june 8th. The major sticking points are staffing, pay and retirement funds. There are temporary workers in place to fill the spots of the striking nurses. No new contract talks are scheduled. Happening today, the Philadelphia School district could be one step closer to getting a muchneeded infusion of cash. Newark police are investigating multiple armed robberies where university of delaware students have been targeted. The first incident happened saturday night at around 7 00 on South College avenue near winslow road. Police say a man with a gun approached two delaware students and demanded that they give up their cell phones. After giving up their phones, the suspect ran west on winslow road. A second Armed Robbery happened around 2 30 afternoon on tyre avenue south of east main street. Police say a student was holding his phone when he was approached by a man with a gun who also demanded he turn over his phone. After the victim handed it over, the suspect ordered him to go southbound on tyre avenue and then took off. It is 6 15. The trial of a Montgomery County man accused of killing a 10monthold girl and her grandmother is expected to start this week. Raghunandan yandamuri faces the Death Penalty if he is convicted. He is charged with kidnapping the baby from the king of prussia apartment two years ago and killing her grandmother. The baby was later found dead. Prosecutors say the suspect planned to hold the little girl for ransom to pay off a gambling debt. A local School District is working to educate the community about Sexual Assault and abuse in the wake of a scandal involving a teacher. 31yearold bridgett szychulski, a Central Bucks High School south band director, was arrested last week for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 14yearold student. The allegations against her stem from 2012 when she was a band teacher at len yoep middle school in doylestown. She has been suspended from her job. In response to concerns and questions from parents and students, the central bucks School District south School District is hosting a Community Conversation tonight at the middle school in warrington. Three soldiers from afghanistan were in the u. S. For training and are missing. Military Officials Say the Army Officers went missing during an exercise at a cape cod, massachusetts, military base saturday night. The soldiers arrived on september 11th and the military says theres no indication that they pose any threat to the public. A person of interest has been named in the case of a missing university of virginia student. Its been ten days since 18yearold Hannah Graham disappeared, and police think that this orange chrysler holds some clues. They say it belongs to 32yearold jesse matthew. Police believe hes the man seen walking with graham on Surveillance Video minutes before she disappeared. Theyve named him as a person of interest in the case and hes also wanted on reckless driving charges. Some people in ferguson, missouri, are now being equipped with body cameras. The group we cop watch is providing more than 100 of these cameras for community members. Theyre also being educated on how to handle being stopped by police and how to protect their rights.
