Skyforce 10 just getting into the scene of this accident we have been following this morning in Chester County. This is the route 30 bypass westbound just past route 340. And i mentioned the fact that it involved an overturned tractortrailer but the traffic was getting by. It looks like this one just overturned off the highway. This is the first time i sam seeing this. So you can see that tractortrailer southbound off the roadway. The right lane is blocked because of the emergency officials responding to the scene, but as you can see in the live picture, the left lane is still open with traffic getting by with one lane out there, but it is not too early. We are not seeing a big delay there in the morning eastbound on the route 30 bypass. Take route 30 so get around that accident. A portion of roosevelt boulevard remains closed following flooding from a water main break in the middle of the highway. Nbc 10s jesse gary is live at the repair site in the bustleton section of the city. Jesse, you mentioned in todays repairs and how it will impact drivers. Tell us about that. Reporter no fire right now. Just one inner northbound lane is closed and you can see it there with the clones next to it and the flashing arrow. The Water DepartmentOfficials Say a total of two will be shut down and one southbound lane will be affected by the work in a few hours. The break in the castiron transmission main made a watery muddy commute for all customers. One of the coldest departments said the crews will begin their final repairs after the bulk of the morning commute and hope to finish before the evening rush hour begins. But be aware coming out here one lane is closed right now. And people are really moving pretty quickly and get to the cones and have to slow down particularly if they make a mix of left turns. Joseph gallagher has a formal arraignment today following his arrest in november. Authorities say the longtime Haverford High School coach was drunk when he left the scene of a crash in prospect park. Gallagher took a leave of absence from the Football Team but is still a fulltime teacher. This morning a woman is out of the hospital after being sexually assaulted in center city in the middle of an afternoon. The 27yearold woman was lost and stopped to ask this man from directions inside the jefferson station. The man walked with her into the track area and pulled her into a secluded spot to beat her and sexually exploit her. A woman who rides in the afternoon says she found herself in a corridor. They are scary. I have had to run down a few away from a guy chasing me. Riders we talked with called for more security at septa stations. Meanwhile, Police Hope Someone Recognizes this man and will give him a call. A man who murdered a bucks county prosecutor who had just gotten to his accident. He was talking to his secretary in the parking lot when someone walked up behind him and shot him in the back of the head. The secretary did not get a good look at why he targeted the attorney. And today Governor Tom Wolf kicks off the schools that teach tour in Chester County. Youll find out about the Medical Center in thorndale and talk about the proposal for natural gas drilling. Governor wolf has said the tax could generate more than 1 million and could be reininvested in public education. In the atlantic casino crisis ashs bankruptcy judge could decide today if revel can keep a 0 million deposit from the developer who wanted to buy the property. Revel was going to sell it for 95 million but yesterday the casino canceled the deal after the deadline passed monday night. Typically in the morning eastbound is where we see a big backup. Now i do anticipate slowmoving traffic on the southbound side. And as you can see, only one lane of traffic is getting by. At least thats not where we see the bulk of the morning rush hour delay. Every morning we are used to seeing that. The route 30 bypass near 340 is where you are going to see it down to one lane of traffic. Expect to take business route 30 as your alternate. The pennsylvania turnpike is looking good at 22 minutes between bensalem and valley form. Nothing too major happening on the pennsylvania turnpike right now. As far as 95 goes thats southbound near girard avenue. We are seeing the normal building volume we are used to see seeing. This Department Fire was sparked and what they decided not to do to prevent the spread. And i am told that your previous information was denied. New this morning, we have more information on the massive Apartment Fire that displaced several people in new mexico. The maintenance workers are blamed for starting the fire and he never called 911 when the fire started. Investigators said the worker accidentally sparked the fire in edgewater when trying to fix a leakly fire in a firstfloor apartment, a leaky pipe in a firstfloor apartment. One bill will require Health Care Coverage for people transitioning through hormone therapy or surgery. Another measure would require College Campuses to allow students to live according to their gender identity even if it doesnt match the sex on the student record. That would apply to locker rooming, restrooms and sports. Bryn mawr college will start accepting transgender and lip cant applicants. The college reck nipzsognizes that conceptions of gender are changing. They will ask for an applicants gender and more information if the gender is not clearly reflected on the application. And a new plan to demolish hundreds of buildings in camden. And nbc news announced that it suspended nightly news anchor Brynn Williams for six months without pay. If we have any good news of the situation, traffic is getting by the scene. We are not seeing a really big delay, so thats good news for drivers. Unfortunately, we have quite a mess on the route 30 bypass westbound just past route 340. You can see the tractortrailer overturned off the highway itself. So the right lane is blocked there for crews who are rep responding to the situation. And the left lane is where we are seeing traffic get by the scene. If you want to avoid this area this morning, business route 30 is going to be your best bet. We are not seeing that heavy yol yum volume that were used to seeing just yet but i expect to see that rise in the next 50 minutes. The eastbound side at trooper, we are seeing pockets of volume but thats something we are used to at this hour. Traveling on the northeast extension, no accidents or delays to report there. Drive times are average near 21 to 22 minutes in both directions on the northeast extension between quakertown and the interchange with mid county the pennsylvania turnpike. The p. A. Turnpike is clear right now as far as any incidents go. If you are traveling on the air bridges, everything is looking pretty good. The sun is coming up one minute before 7 00.
