Know that conditions are really going downhill just in the last couple of hours. Coatsville had zero visibility now. Now pocono with dense fog. Doylestown, quakertown, dense fog, and now were starting to see it will be quite the ways in the morning, and trenton is less than a half mile. Doylestown less than a mile. Millville, Atlantic City, less than a mile. Got lots of places with dense fog, and were going to see that throughout the area. 5 00 a. M. Slight improvement by 7 00. More significant improvement by nine. Theres the suburbs with the dense fog symbol. Lehigh valley extends even longer into the day. You notice the temperatures are on the mild side, but when you get up in the morning, you have extra time commuting, and once again, those delays. More along when the next round of rain and warmer weather comes in in a few minutes. Patco riders are hoping history wont repeat itself tomorrow morning. There were so many problems today. Some people say their commute took twice as long. Nbc 10s Brandon Hudson is live at the station in collings good. Reporter jacquelin and jim, this wasnt a great start to the morning for some passengers. Here at the station trying to get to philadelphia this morning, this is where the very first reported problem happened. It delayed some people for more than an hour, and it wasnt the only station affected. We spoke to patco passengers about their delay. Its it turned into an hour and a half. Patco pulled five trains out of service this morning all before 9 00. At 3 30 ten minutes later a train was taken out of service at eighth and margaret for breaking issues. At 8 09 a train was taken off the rails at 15th and 16th at locust for motor problems. The same thing happened about a half hour later at ferry avenue. At 8 48 passengers were forced to get off the train at broadway station. Passenger photos show a long wait at one crowded platform and a packed train at another. Waited at broadway. Three, four trains passed before we could squeeze on through another. Tonight patco general manager john rate apologized for the inconvenience. He said january 7ths snowstorm led to the replacement of 21 broken motors. In a statement he added over this past weekend alone, more than 500 person hours were logged in the maintaining and inspecting and repairing the train fleet for service on monday. Regardless of todays problems, riders we spoke to say they will be on board tomorrow. Today was just an off day. Still a little less expensive than parking in it the city every day. Reporter we spoke to a number of people who also did not have any problems riding patco trains this morning or this evening. An Orlando Police sergeant in custody tonight. Officials with the Orlando Police department say theyve captured 41yearold marquise lloyd. Lloyd accused of shooting and killing Sergeant Debra clayton last week. A second officer was killed in a motorcycle crash during the search for the suspect. Lloyd was previously wanted in connections with the december killing of his pregnant exgirlfriend. Also new at 11 00 an 80yearold woman is recovering tonight after police say she was robbed and beaten in an Atlantic City casino. Atlantic city police say the incident happened earlier this month. Investigators say a man followed the woman to her hotel room where he beat her and stole her money. Now, Police Release these surveillance pictures of a man theyre trying to identify. Anyone who recognizes him is asked to contact police. New at 11 00 calls for philadelphias top prosecutor to resign in the wake of a record ethics penalty. Seth williams will pay a 62,000 fine for failing to disclose dozens of gifts he received. Nbc 10s denise outside the District Attorneys Office in center city. He is running for reelection. His opponents are really searsisears i seizing on this news. They are calling for a resignation saying an apology is not enough. We tried to reach williams over the phone at her office, but the only statement he gave tonight was a written one. A breach of ethics for philadelphias top Law Enforcement official. The citys board of ethics hitting Seth Williams with a record 52,000 fine for failure to report sources of income and gifts on city financial statements. If he had two lapses of integrity, he would reporter two democratic challengers in a crowded field in the race to unseat williams are calling for the District Attorney to step down. When you have a District Attorney who is investigating and prosecuting other people who didnt disclose income for gifts, it sets a double standard thats not acceptable in our city. Mr. Williams wants to regain the trust of the city, he can start by stepping down and taking responsibility for his own actions. We have just a few days left in office, president obama has commuted the prison sense of chelsea manning, the transgender former Army Intelligence analyst thats serving 35 years for leaking classified information. Manning known as bradley at the time of conviction has served seven years of that sentence. She will be released from prison in may. President obama will undoubtedly field questions about this decision tomorrow when he holds his final news conference. The president reduced the sentences of 209 people in all. Six are from our area. Two men and a woman from philadelphia came away with reduced sentences. An allentown man, redding woman, and pleasantville man. Congressman fattah was not among those commuted. His friends have appealed to president obama asking for a president ial pardon. Russian president Vladimir Putin is accusing the Obama Administration of spreading fake information about president elect trump. Today putin described a dossier on mr. Trump as part of the efforts to undermine the legitimacy of the president elect. The claims in the dossier are unverified by both media and the intelligence community. Putin said that people who spreads those allegations are worse than prostitutes. A former apprentice contestant is suing president elect trump for defamation. Making sure they feel comfortable with the children in the schools and making sure their children feel comfortable in the schools no matter their background. This is i95 and south philly. You dont often see the visibility that bad in that area, so this fog is getting pretty dense. Especially in coatsville where the visibility is zero. Quakertown a half mile. Still bad in the poconos. Philly international down below one mile. Were talking about delays and the warning. Quakertown, a half mile. Threequarters of a mile and millville also with some pretty severe restrictions. The temperature is above freezing. Well above freezing everywhere. These are above the normal high temperatures for this time of year. We just want to make sure, again, in burkes county, Lehigh Valley that these numbers are above freezing, skps they are. Blandand allentown, white hall, 37. Bethlehem at 37 as well. The temperature has not dropped, but more rain is dropping. Weve got some of it in delaware county, chester county, burkes county. That moves to the east, and thats really the last area of significant rain. Thats going to be long gone by the time you get up in the morning. Its the rain isnt really the issue. The fog is going to be the issue in the morning. You go through the day on wednesday, and its dry. Maybe a little sunshine. Temperatures may actually get to 50 in some spots. Thursday, its also dry.
