The fire, the sheriffs office, and ridgeview ambulance responded to the call. That is our standard protocol and is not unusual at all for us to have everybody respond to a medical like that. They found an unresponsive male in the elevator. Cpr was initially started, but was unsuccessful. He was pronounced deceased at 10 07. We have identified him as prince rogers anelson, 5 7 years old. Staff members from paisley park were unable to contact prince yesterday morning and went to check on him finding him unresponsive and called 911. Deputies went through the building to ensure there was nobody else inside. Because this was an unwitnessed death of a middleaged adult, the decision was made to process the scene. That is also normal protocol, not different from what we normally would do. There should be no we ended up contacting the county crime lab to help us with that, and there should be no inference taken from that. Its not unusual for them to come out and do those types of calls. We finished with our processing late yesterday afternoon. We turned paisley park back over to princes representatives. Again, because investigation is ongoing, i will not be answering questions on whether or not there were any items taken during our processing. The Midwest Medical Examiners Office was contacted and the doctor who is a county medical examiner responded. There was no obvious signs of trauma on the body at all. The body was transported to the Doctors Office for an autopsy, and that is being done today. Results from that autopsy may take several weeks which is not up usual. Again, this will continue to be an open investigation until the autopsy results come back and we are ready to take questions that you may have. He did not give many details only to say its an open and ongoing investigation. No obvious signs of trauma, and that an autopsy is being conducted today. Seven of them including two children were shot in execution style killings at three homes along a country road. Investigators believe they are all members of the same family. No arrests made. Its unclear whether the killer or killers are among the dead. Details on the death of the eighth person have not been released, but Authorities Say the body was found in a fourth location. Ill step out of the way, and you can see people are gathering here to begin a march to rodney square, beyond the crowd of people, theres a memorial set up for that 16yearold student. There was a young lady, personally, yes. So having a hard time. She staid school is where she belonged today. I made sure she was where i knew she was safe, and would get support. So i brought her today for counselling because so many of the students are hurting. Skinner said she heard multiple versions of how the 16yearold died, but until she hears from police, shes not sure what to believe. As a parent, it wouldnt matter. I would closure. I would want to know the whole story as a parent, but there was nothing that was worth this young ladys life. Reporter police interviewed witnesses to the fight including two girls believed to have been involved. The girls are not in police custody. On social media, the ripamy is trending, as many students who knew her talk about what could have happened inside the girls bathroom early yesterday morning. Police stayed away from talking about how francis died or what they are doing in the investigation so far, but students say she was in a fight with multiple girls over a boy.
