A lawsuit says a Philadelphia Hotel help sex traffickers enslave a 14yearold girl and it took place for years. The girl described men waiting if sex, lining the walls of that motel. Sounds horrible. Reporter yeah, guys, the details of this lawsuit, they are vivid. The girl herself was not able to talk to us. She is still a minor, but her lawyers insist that those working and managing this hotel, knew exactly what was happening. Northeast phillys Roosevelt Inn and its management are being sued for being a part of a crime they claim they never knew was happening. We have an innocent girl here who in exquisite detail will someday tell a jury what happened. Reporter the lawsuit filed today claims a 14yearold girl was forced into sex slavery here and the hotel and its staff let it happen. This was a girl who was trafficked there. It was open, obvious and notorious. It was known to the staff. It was known to the management. It was known to the front desk. At times, they even received gratuities. Reporter the alleged victim is identified by the initials m. B. When she was 14 years old she was recruited to engage in sex acts at the Roosevelt Inn. She was forced to have sex with men for money. Reporter the Management Company which owns the hotel, told us it had no comment on the allegations. The hotel manage told us he had no knowledge of these things. Im mitch blocker from nbc 10 we spoke on the phone. How are you sir . Fine. Reporter do you have a second to come talk with us . Not with the camera please. Reporter now, off camera, the manager told us he has to kick people out of the hotel. He also told us he has seen scantly dressed women in the hallways, he says he never saw any indications of sex trafficking. But we are looking into the history of sex trafficking here at the roosevelt in. The investigators will have those for you up at 5 30. Were live in northeast philly. Just to be clear, this is a civil suit, right . What did you find out about any criminal case against anyone that was forcing that girl into sex slavery . The u. S. Attorneys office is not commenting on what charges. The u. S. Attorney goes after the trackers and has a history of doing that, especially in the philadelphia area. The lawsuit here is really going after those who are profiting from this practice, jim. Thanks, we know youll stay on top of this. This morning, a dump truck slammed into a school bus heading to a school for the deaf in wilmington. The driver of the dump truck ran a red light. It happened in wilmington. Tim furlong was the only reporter on scene. I heard a large screech and a bang. Reporter rodney heard it happen in wilmington south bridge neighborhood, a morning crash with the Christina School district bus and a dump trump. The school bus was going through the light and the dump truck never stopped at the light. Just hit the bus. Reporter the few kids on the bus werent hurt but they were taken to the hospital to be checked out. They were headed to the Delaware School for the deaf in newark. The bus driver and an aide were taken to the hospital. The man and the woman in the dump truck, ronnie says their injuries werent life threatening but they had the worst of it. They were bleeding really bad. The woman was pinned underneath the dash board. I asked if they were okay. Lets call 911 right now, dont nobody touch nobody. And then the cops and everybody shows up. All across the four counties we went to montgomery, chester delaware and philadelphia counties. Everyone got a taste of the heavy snow this morning. As you can see most of it has melted now thanks to the afternoon sun. But as this roller coaster continues, the temperatures are starting to plummet. By midmorning here it looked like this, heavy wet snow falling at a rapid clip. I wore a tee shirt pretty much every day. Reporter nothing like yesterday, rebecca walking to work now forgetting her hat and gloves. I didnt expect it to be this heavy or really to clean off my car. While it is kind of mild, clear your driveway and the sidewalks. And youll regret it if you dont. Tomorrow morning, everythings going to be frozen and its going to be hard to do. Not just lake effect and theres one heavy one coming right through philadelphia now. Another one around limerick and another one just went through wilmington. This is what happened last night and into this morning. And then it moves out and these are the snowshowers that are left with that. Over the next three days, its cold. Saturday, sunday, monday, these are the low temperatures into the teens. And further to the north, lower teens. High in Lehigh Valley tomorrow, only 27. 29 on sunday. Monday, again, its very cold. Thats when the clouds build up and that when this storm starts to develop with. Part of it at least in the gulf of mexico, the more white lines you get, the more intense the storm is. The wind is starting to come in off the ocean. This is monday night. This does not show the type of precipitation. So some of this is going to be heavy snow. Some of its going to be heavy rain. There might be some heavy sleet in between. Thats a fairly intense storm. And that is tuesday. So even if it changes over to rain, it could very well change back to snow.
