Trump event getting ready to start in just a few minutes. Reporter we talked with many parents who brought their children here. They say they want them to witness history. To them, trump is antiestablishment. Hes not a pick by either party, making him the best candidate for them. Hes been speaking what ive been feeling. All our jobs are going overseas. My sons job, a computer engineer, hes studying, he said, ma, i may have to get a job in japan. I dont want my son, my family, have to leave the country to get a decent job. Im here because this is one of the last ones here in p. A. Im a veteran. My son is active duty. I have a lot of family and friends still active duty. Veterans issues are a big thing for me. Reporter trump will be joined by former new york mayor rudy guiliani. His son eric is supposed to be here in the crowd of more than 4500. Voters as far south as South Carolina say they want to be here for one of the last campaign events. Reporter and trump again is campaigning long before dawn. He arrived in sarasota, florida at 3 30 this morning, but only hours later the republican candidate hit the stage asking supporters for their votes and taking swipes at his rivals. Hillary clinton is being protected by a totally rigged system. And now its up to the American People to deliver justice at the ballot box tomorrow. Yes, Hillary Clinton has had plenty of rallies here in philadelphia this cycle but not like this one. As you can see behind me, security is tight here tonight because we are not just talking about the democratic nominee but also the current president and the first lady. Lets take another look from skyforce 10 as the crowds move in towards Independence Mall. A lot of folks are coming with their signs and buttons, their tshirts, ready to be a parts of the tonight. Of course its not just the politicians tonight but also the entertainers, something Hillary Clinton has been using in the final days of the campaign. Bon jovi and Bruce Springsteen making this a mustsee event for supporters. We saw all ages waiting to get into this rally. There were long time female friends who came out to see the woman they hope will make history as president. Parents who brought their kids. And millennials, a potentially powerful voting group Hillary Clinton has working to win over. We talked to temple students who once supported Bernie Sanders but today are here for Hillary Clinton. Do you feel like she has embraced the things that he fought for . I think a whole lot. And i think it helps that she really wants to use his ideas and use him to help her with her campaign. Its really good for bernies supporters to help support Hillary Clinton in the polls. Reporter a live look from skyforce 10, i can tell you those were not the only College Students i met today. I met some others from westchester university, they were in line to see Hillary Clinton. They told me there were a lot of Bernie Sanders voters on their campus, some of whom will not be voting. Thats a concern for Hillary Clinton, they want to bring millennial voters to the polls tomorrow. Why are they here in philadelphia today . Of course this is an important area for her to win pennsylvania. But also because no early voting here in pennsylvania. It all comes down to election day tomorrow. And as you might imagine, road closures are in effect because of that big rally going on on Independence Mall. Lets head to nbc 10 first alert traffic reporter Jessica Boyington, give us a check of the roads. Market street is closed between 4th and 7th, 5th street closed between arch and market, and 5th street closed at chestnut. That starts around 7 00. The closures of course have been in place since 10 00 this morning. Also mass transit, having problems there, limited service on the market frankford line, making all stops every six minutes with the exception of the Independence Mall station. You wont be able to get off there. If you need to drive in, you need to get to Independence Hall and that area, you can have some parking options. So parking garages will make it easier to get around. All of those are options right here. You can keep updated and follow me on twitter. Lets check in with nbc 10 first alert meteorologist sheena parve parveen. Sheena, what can voters expect tomorrow . Erin, a nice dry day, thats the good news. But a cold start for election day. If youre heading out in the morning, make sure you grab the jacket. Temperatures will be in the 30s by 7 00 a. M. Our pennsylvania suburbs and into the lehigh valley, about the mid30s. We could see a little bit of patchy frost in parts of northern delaware as well, with temperatures there close to the upper 30s, even some of our new jersey neighborhoods. It will be a cold start to the day. But fast throughoin fact throug tomorrow it will be one of the warmest days of the week. If youre heading to the polls, its going to be nice and dry. Whether youre heading in the morning, the afternoon, or later in the evening right before the polls close. Coming up ill show you a more detailed look at your election day forecast. Now to a developing story were following out of Montgomery County. Absentee ballot problems in that county that could leigh thousan leave thousands enable to vote. Investigative reporter Mitch Blacher found some people are still waiting. Mitch, you have some new numbers. Reporter erin, the latest numbers show thousands of absentee ballots showed up in Montgomery County over the weekend and today but there are still thousands unaccounted for. The county says it mailed nearly 30,000 absentee ballots and weve just learned the last batch went out as late as november 5th. Some voters continue to say they have not received their ballots and since we first started reporting this story last week, weve been investigating why Montgomery Countys absentee ballots went out later than unusual. Tonight at 11 00, we reveal what we found as an insider talks exclusively with the nbc 10 investigators. And i thought, i cant stay here, number one, the writings on the wall, if theyre not utilizing me now, theyre going to kick me out as soon as the election is over, or two, im going to be the scapegoat. As of thursday the county was waiting for 17,000 ballots to come back in. That number is now down to 9,000. The deadline to get them into the county is tomorrow at 8 00 p. M. Take a look at 11th and market. The bus stop, some of the cars are blocking our view right now, but hardly anyone here at the bus stop. Also here the market, frankford, l, the lines here, the steps you can see not congested as service will not be fully restored to 100 until tomorrow morning. With some 51 of 83 septa bus and trolley routes on the move again across center city, riders cant put their full faith on track yet. Linda dixon evans is thankful septa plans to take care of riders with a 4 to 21 credit for weekly passes that expired during the strike. And with negotiations now in the Rearview Mirror by just 12 hours when i do ride, i ride them all. Reporter it will likely take another 12 until 6 00 a. M. Tuesday to restore all septa transit routes at 100 . Wanda davis heas a family of three that relies on septa. I dont have to worry about getting my son to rehearsal. Reporter she says shell spend the few extra dollars tonight until she knows the routes she relies on are full steam ahead. I had to get in a cab today to handle my business. Reporter this woman thought about not voting on tuesday if she couldnt get there. Hopefully that wont happen. So for six days, computers waited and wondered on the sidelines, as these negotiations took place between septa and the transportation union. So was it worth it . Not expecting full service to be restored for septa until tomorrow. Seeing limited service for the buses. Some trollies have resumed again. Limited service there. Broad Street Service is running every ten minutes with limited service there. Every six minutes on the market frankford line. The Independence Hall station is closed this evening because of the campaign and rallies going on throughout the city. I dont know whats going on here, it looks like theyve moved this camera. It was supposed to be the expressway around 8th street. Looks like theyre actually filming. It might be the motorcade moving through. Something like that around the area. Were trying to watch through the old city area, there may be different areas that have closures as well because of the Hillary Clinton rally that is closing down the independence malarea. 33 minutes on the schuylkill heading into center city. Eastbound, average speed in the 20s, keith. Janet reno, the first woman to serve as u. S. Attorney general, has died. Her family confirmed to nbc news she passed early this morning from complications of parkinsons disease. During her eight years in office, she was the epicenter for several political storms including the fbi raid in waco and the saga of elian gonzalez. Reno was 78 years old. Dozens of buildings were damaged after an earthquake in central oklahoma. The 5. 0 magnitude quake in Oklahoma City last night. Some minor injuries reported. Officials say this is the largest earthquake theyve ever had. There were some reports of shaking or movement in the same area every day for the last eight days. Already down to 44 degrees. Were nice and dry on radar. Thats going to be a good thing tomorrow. Its going to be chilly in the morning. Through the afternoon, staying nice and dry. By wednesday, were going to watch that area of rain way off to our west. The good news is it wont be here until election day. I think everybody should have a pretty good commuting day weatherwise. Were not looking at any weather issues. If youre heading to the polls around 7 00 a. M. , philadelphia area, upper 30s. Lehi lehigh valley, south jersey, expect temperatures in the upper 30s by 7 00 a. M. By lunchtime if thats when youre heading to the polls, temperatures should be in the mid to low 660s. Well be topping out in the afternoon in the upper 60s. By 8 00, mid to upper 50s. You might want a jacket in the morning and the evening. Middle of the day, topping out in the upper 60s, a pretty warm day relatively speaking. Normal high, 60 degrees. By wednesday we drop back down to the upper 50s. Thursday, we stay cold. Friday, we stay around 60 degrees. Tomorrow will be the warmest day of the week. Nice and dry, this is future weather. Were looking at 1 00 tomorrow morning. Later tuesday night, clouds increase. There is the rain i was talking about, 8 00 wednesday morning. The morning commute looks like we could start to see some widespread maybe light to moderate rain. Keep that in mind for the morning.
