Reporter we know that a mans body was found inside burned but we dont know who he was or how long he had been here, whether he was perhaps using this old vacant restaurant for shelter or was here for some other reason. Its a mystery investigators are now trying to figure out. Blocked with police tape now its steps from a busy shopping center. This restaurant has been vacant for more than a year and contractors made the discovery when they came to fix the broken windows. When they went in to see what kind of tools they need for the job they discovered a body in a room that was charred. Reporter this was the remains, not the room that was burned. But police dont believe that body was brought in from somewhere else. From what were looking at in our experience, we think it happened here. Reporter crime scene investigators now trying to figure out what happened. Checking electrical, bringing in fire oefrzer officials and treating the scene like a homicide until or unless its ruled out. Police tell us they have had reports of squatters, issues with them in this area but they hadnt gotten any reports of any trespassing specifically at this property. The officer who survived an ambush outside the Pennsylvania StatePolice Barracks in the poconos took the stand today in the trial of eric frein. He told the jury about the night of november 12th 2014. He was in the parking lot of the barracks when he heard several loud bangs then he heard trooper brian dixon scream. He banged on a window and yelled for help. Then he realized he had been shot. Dixon died, douglas got emotional as he told the jury about the pain he is still in. If frein is convicted he could face the death penalty. Governor tom wolf says he met with lieutenant mike stack several times to discuss complaints about the way stack treated state employees. Governor wolf said he told stack, quote, you need to stop. The state Inspector General is now investigating reports that stack and his wife mistreated state employees tonight. Theres little detail about what they did exactly but stack did acknowledge that he said things in anger or frustration that he is now regretting. In harrisburg today Governor Tom Wolf praised the efforts to bring medical marijuana to the state one year after the plans were first announced last april. Wolf signed the bill allowing for the use of medical marijuana for certain types of illinoisness. Since then the Governors Office says more than 200 of the states sickest children have gotten the drug. We spoke to a man trying to open a place in pottstown. Just a lot of uncertainty. We had to lease property and gut our zoning approval. And do the application. The state has received hundreds of applications for grow facilities and dispensa dispensaries. Only 12 facilities to grow the plants and two dozen dispensaries will be granted business licenses. Sales will begin in 2018.
