The man accused of shooting a philadelphia officer sunday night is expected to face arraignment later today. 23yearold Scott Griffin is accused of shooting officer James Mccullough when the officer interrupted a car jacking that griffin and another man allegedly carried out. We have learned from Court Documents he has 14 prior arrests for drugs, weapons, and theft. Griffin had been in jail less than a week ago, but he was let go after a judge decided a lack of evidence because of several witnesses did not show up to testify against griffin. The victim collapsed in fra frankford avenue just before 3 00 a. M. Shes in the hospital in critical condition. Investigators are still trying to identify her and theyre knocking on doors looking for witnesses. Firefighters are looking to put out hot spots after a warehouse fire in cumberland county. This started at 2 30 this morning. One firefighter was hurt but is expected to be okay. It took firefighters more than two hours to get the flames under control. Officials are investigating the fire as suspicious. And the quest for the cup brought out the worst in some flyers fans. Take a look. Show some class. That was the flyers public address announcer scolding flyers fans. This hit caused frustrations to boil over. Off the ice. Fans tossing free wrist bands they received in the beginning of the game. Thats up three points from last week. On the democratic side, results have remained steady as Hillary Clinton leads rival Bernie Sanders 50 to 43 . The house subcommittee on encryption is also hearing from a penn engineering professor. Now its 77 in ocean city, 76 in Atlantic City. And even near 80 in mays landing. At this hour, but the problem that we have is the combination of the dry ground, the low humidity, and the gusty winds creating that fire danger. Thats why the redflag warning. We showed you the humidities in new jersey a little while ago. This is in the suburbs outside philadelphia. In pennsylvania. Avondale, 36 . Kenneth square, 35 . Exten, 38 . The lower the humidity, the greater the fire danger, the easier it is for fires to spread. For washington, 39 . Doylestown, 36 . And those numbers generally come down during the afternoon. And during the afternoon, we expect these winds of 15 to 20 Miles Per Hour to help stir things up. So its warm. Its dry. And we still have the issue of the pollen. And the pollen, very high today, tomorrow, thursday. The only break we can get is on friday when there may be some showers moving into the area. No showers around now. But there is some moisture back to the west. Some clouds in the ohio valley, and some showers out toward st. Louis and down to memphis. This is not a real strong system. This is the remnants of some of that moisture that hit houston. But its all breaking up. And were not going to get anything like what they had in houston. Tell us about the show and why you decided to focus on veterans and their stories. Well, its a show that we began researching in 2009. We had been working on three shows actually, and this is the third in what is essentially a trilogy that was born out of looking at peoples color and a long time ago during 9 11. And then when we arrived at looking at veterans because of the work we had already done. And we just realized that something we wanted to find a way to make a bridge of communication between veteran and nonveteran, between those who have been through the experiences like people like mike had been through and those who havent because were all going to live with the memories of the conflict. And were all going to live together here. Is this more to help the audience understand what you, men and women have been through, or is it for you guys to help you guys cope with what you have lived through . I think it has, like, a dual purpose. I think it
