People on the block are shocked the 35yearold victim was murdered in front of his wife, six children, and the wife was shot as well. We watched homicide detectives examine the scene here in the 7300 block of north 7th street for clues overnight. Police tell us they believe a shotgun was used to kill an adult male and wound his wife in a second floor rear bedroom around 1 00 this morning. Three casings were found there. We spoke with neighbors as they came out to see what had happened. I never seen any suspicious activity in the house or nothing. I just moved here like 2 1 2 months ago. I never seen her. Nothing out of the ordinary. Reporter police tell us the deceased male was 28 price. They do believe he was targeted. We also got a lock at the alley here behind the 3700 block. We saw that police tell us this is where they found a shotgun, a sack of live shotgun shells were also discovered, along with a knit skull cap that may have been used as a mask. The children range in age from 5 to 13. They were seen leaving the home this morning with their grandparents. And we just got an update that the 40yearold female, the childrens stepmother, was shot twice and right now is listed in Critical Condition at temple. Two armed men pistol whipped a man inside. He is in the hospital but is expected to be okay. The attack happened just before 11 30. The robbers got away with cash. Police say a child was inside the home but was not hurt. One person is dead and another in Critical Condition after a fire trapped them inside this house in germantown. Nbc 10 on the scene on east clapier street. This happened last night. Neighbors rushed toward the heavy smoke but couldnt get inside. Firefighters arrived to pull the victims out. The smoke was too thick, they didnt get in. Medics took three other people to the hospital with minor smoke inhalation. Investigators are looking at how this fire started. And two firefighters are recovering after being injured in a propane tank explosion in bucks county. Investigators tell us several propane tanks caught fire in a garage yesterday in bensalem township. Happening now, Jerry Sandusky is back in court to resume his appeal hearing. The former penn state assistant football coach is trying to have his child sex abuse conviction overturned. He testified that he never molested boys and that he wasnt properly represented at his trial in 2012. If the appeal is successful, the judge could order a new trial. One of the suspects in a deadly street racing accident in northeast philadelphia is facing a judge. Police say ron ferrell was racing Chris Bloomfield last july through somerton when bloomfield crashed into a tree. Police say bloomfield walked away before emergency crews arrived. This morning, nine people are hurt in ohio after a driver accidentally plowed into a crowd of people at an outdoor concert near cleveland. Police say the driver was a 74yearold woman. She accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes while trying to get out of her parking space. Six people were taken to the hospital, two of them seriously hurt. So far charges have not been filed against the driver. Police say theyre still reviewing this case.
