That has since disappeared. No sign of it in south jersey or delaware this morning. Visibility is at 6 miles. Thats no problem for dover at this time. Theres still cooling going on. We could see other areas with the fog thickening up this morning. 64 in philadelphia. No fog in the city. We will see sunshine. And once the sun is up, the temperatures come up, 74 degrees. The sun coming up in about 20 minutes before 7 00. 60 degrees in the suburbs right now. The wind is calm. Thats the other thing you need for fog to form. You can see some of the clouds in the Lehigh Valley. Its nice and clear in delaware. Sunshine were in the have this afternoon. The fog quickly disappears. Were on our way to a nice, warm summer day. At the shore, sea breeze, 70s there. 80s for the rest of the area. Ill go through the forecast for each zone hour by hour in a few minutes. First, lets check with Jessica Boyington and traffic. But lane restrictions around the oval and detours go into effect beginning at 6 00 this morning. At 7 00 a. M. , kelly drive will be detoured inbound. Spring garden traffic will be detoured on to 676. At 9 00, all the areas leading up to the oval will be closed. President obama is expected to arrive at philly international at 1 00 this afternoon. Hes here to campaign for Hillary Clinton at a hillary for mechanic event. President obama will participate in a dnc event before flying out. Later this evening, donald trump will be campaigning at the astin Community Center in Delaware County. Thats happening at 7 3. That event by the way is closed to the public. Delawares seat in congress is on the ballot, so are governor, Lieutenant Governor and mayor of wilmington. Delaware held a president ial primary in april. The polls open this morning at 7 00 a. M. In Delaware County, bubble wrap is what likely triggered a lockdown at Valley Forge Military Academy. Officials say an Eastern University student in an apartment across the street from Valley Forge Military Academy reported hearing what she thought was the sound of gunshots last night. Police put Valley Forge Military Academy on lockdown as they searched buildings but didnt find any victims or evidence of a shooting. They later determined that the sound of popping bubble wrap was more than likely what the student heard. While we can laugh about it now, its a good thing were able to laugh about it and while theres no imminent situation or threat taking place on either campus. Everything is now back to normal. A new tune for thousands of students. They were suddenly left shut out after Itt Technical Institute suddenly closed its stores. Here at cct, its being called fast track to enrollment for itt students day. Recently four campuses in the philadelphia area of Itt Technical Institute suddenly closed. Were talking about 4,000 displaced students that are being invited to enroll in the tenweek term at cc. The Community College is encouraging students to come to the Spring Garden campus today to meet with admissions, Financial Aid and college counselors. Ccp is committing to devise an individualized Program Beginning on october 4th. So the doors to opportunity are opening once again to students at 9 00 this morning here in Spring Garden. Fog this morning, seems to be limited to coatesville and then some scattered fog into the Lehigh Valley. A few scattered clouds but mainly sunshine today. 80 degrees by lunch time. In the suburbs, low 60s right now. Some areas of the fog but that thins out quickly with a little bit of sunshine this morning. 72 degrees at 10 00 and then up to 80 degrees by 2 00 this afternoon. The Lehigh Valley, really Beautiful Day. The wind is calm right now. A light breeze out of the South Southwest will make things warmer this afternoon. In delaware, youll see sunshine, warm temperatures from the 60s this morning, into the 70s later this morning and then its 80s for this afternoon. Low 80s today. Youll feel that breeze later on. Southerly winds at 12 miles an hour. That will bring in more humidity and that will be more of a factor for tomorrow as the temperatures go higher tomorrow afternoon. Security let him stay at the rally. Trump seemed unaware of the incident while attacking democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for calling half his supporters a basket of deplorables. Hillary clinton turned to social media to say shes feeling better and cant wait to get back on the campaign trail. Questions persist over why it took so long for her campaign to reveal the diagnosis. She talked to Anderson Cooper last night by phone. She said she didnt think her illness would be a big deal. Clinton denied fainting. I felt dizzy. And i did lose my balance for a minute. Once i got in, once i could sit down, cool off, once i had some water, i immediately started feeling better. Clintons aides admitted they did not give the public enough information about her condition. Her campaign promised to release more of her medical records this week. If youre thinking of taking a selfie the at polls this election season, you could be breaking a law in some states. An Appeals Court in boston will consider the issue for the first time. It takes into consideration a New Hampshire law that makes it a crime for voters to take photos of their ballots and share them on social media. New hampshire is not the only state that bans voter selfies or pictures. Its also illegal in pennsylvania and more than two dozen other states. Voter selfies are allowed in delaware. The law is unclear about the issue in new jersey. Septa slowdown. 18 repaired trains are pulled from service over a new defect is found. Inspectors say they found a design problem with the newly repaired cars. The rail cars will be repaired and put back in service sometime this week. 120 Regional Rail cars were pulled from service in july to fix a structural flaw thats caused delays for commuters. Septa says it will still have all of its trains back on the tracks by november. Speaking of septa, theyre getting a funding boost. The Transportation Authority is getting a 1. 6 million grant thanks to the federal railroad administration. That money will go to philadelphias lawndale station to construct a new pedestrian underpass and two rail bridges. The station is part of septas fox chase Regional Rail line. Now to education funding. More than 1,000 philadelphia students are getting help to get into College Thanks to a 3 million grant. Students showed off the big check yesterday at kensington creative and performing arts high school. They will use the grant for the College Access program. Every year more than 94 of the students who engage with our centers are accepted into a college and with our assistance, they secure the Financial Support they need to make college possible. The grant money will be used over five years to help students apply for college, get Financial Aid and attend college. Now your nbc 10 first alert weather. 12 minutes before 6 00. Low 60s for delaware. Look at south jersey, low 50s this morning. Some areas even a little bit cooler. At c atco is 51 degrees, 62 in florence. Princeton is 49 degrees this morning. Very little wind and clear skies have allowed the temperatures to cool down. By lunch time, well see winds of 7 miles an hour and they will be more southerly today. Expect the temperatures to be warmer as a result and a little bit more humidity than yesterday. Still in the comfortable zone. As we go into the afterinto, those stronger winds at the shore will keep coastal communities in the 70s today. The rest of us will warm into the 80s this afternoon. Nice and clear this morning. Plenty of sunshine. Not much in the way of wet weather but there is a chance that well see some of these showers later tomorrow. Those storms rolling through wisconsin and into iowa, though it will largely fall apart. What we will get before the shower possibility is the warm air surge. Youll feel a little of that today. Tomorrow well be in the 90s tomorrow afternoon. As for the showers, you can see the slow movement in that cold front by later tomorrow afternoon, that will be moving into pennsylvania and theres a chance of some showers and thunderstorms in the pocono mountains. Thats 3 30 tomorrow afternoon. But watch what happens as these showers try to move in the Lehigh Valley and philadelphia and the shore. A chance of some isolated showers, at best, most of them will be falling apart as they roll into our area later tomorrow. So not much in the way of wet weather. But sunshine, we have boat loads of that for today. 85 degrees this 1 2 yoon. Youll feel more humidity and hotter temperatures tomorrow. 90 degrees. Its a oneday warmup into the 90s. Look at the turnaround. Once that cold front comes through, it brings the temperatures right back down. Thats where the temperatures should be. 78 degrees in the afternoon, 64 in the morning, even cooler friday morning. 58 degrees and then a warmup into the weekend, sunday, a better chance of seeing showers and thunderstorms than tomorrow night. By monday, were kleeing out. Theres another chance of showers next week. Wednesday, 78 degrees with showers, possibly a thunderstorm and then mostly cloudy and low 80s on thursday.
