This morning, Comedian Bill Cosby is back in court in Montgomery County as he faces Sexual Assault charges. Matt delucia is live outside the courthouse in norristown. Cosbys legal team, theyre trying to dismiss this case against him, right . Thats right. Media outlets from all over the country are waiting for bill cosbys arrival and what the outcome of this case is, whatc happens today could mark the end of the criminal proceedings against cosby. It all comes down to a supposed agreement between then d. A. Bruce caster and cosby. Cosbys legal team says back in 2005 caster promised not to prosecute him in exchange for a deposition. In that deposition, cosby admitted to giving a woman quaaludes before sexual contact with him. Kevin steele filed charges last month, the District Attorney now. As far as anyone knows, the agreement is not in writing and there is no court order. Bruce caster is expected to take the stand to testify about that agreement, if there was one and what was said. This was caster when we spoke with him last year. I remember thinking that he probably did do something inappropriate. But thinking that and being able to prove it are two different things. For our delaware drivers in and around wilmington, if youre taking 59 this morning and going northbound between 295 and 495, thats just a tenminute drive southbound in that same stretch, its ten minutes as well. Now he says the page nearly doubled its goal, almost raised an additional 1,000 which he says he will give to the mayor of north wildwood. And happening today, a new report on how to get philadelphia kids into prek will be handed over to the mayor and city council. A commission has been analyzing Early Childhood education in the city. Engineer brandon bostians interviews included in those documents, right after the crash and six months later were different. Amtrak 188 was speeding when it derailed. Bostian is suspended without pay. He has not been criminally charged. Lawyers for more than two dozen Crash Victims say the engineer changing memory is a red flag. They want to hear from him under oath. Eight people were killed when the train crashed last may, including a naval midshipman, Bank Executive and a tech company ceo. Victims and their families filed more than 60 personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits in this crash. Theyre being consolidated and assigned to a federal judge here in philadelphia. The truck driver involved in the deadly accident that injured comedian tracy morgan has pleaded not guilty. Kevin roper appeared in a Mercer County courtroom yesterday. Hes facing aggravated manslaughter and other charges. That crash happened on the new jersey turnpike back in june of 2014. Hoper was driving a walmart truck that slammed into the van that morgan was in. Federal investigators say roper hadnt slept for 2 hours before the crash. Ropers lawyer disputes that. This comes as morgan is preparing to go on a standup comedy tour, the picking up pieces tour launches friday in indiana.
