Later this morning, secretary clinton will be addressing p. A. Union leaders at the convention at the sheridan. The afl cio says secretary clinton will speak before a crowd of about 1,000 people. Local Union Leaderships say this will play an Important Role in the convention but wont say which candidate theyll back. Sanders picked up a win in wisconsin. Theyre hoping both candidates will take away a special knowledge of issues that affect working families here. Pennsylvania has some, you know, some different nuances that other folks dont have. Both candidates have been great about listening to folks and talking to folks about whats important to working families here in philly, the dredging of the philadelphia port for the bigger ships from the panama canal will create thousands of jobs. Theres a rally planned for 8 00 tonight at temple university. Hes set to discuss a wide range of issues such as Climate Change and his plan to make public colleges and universities tuitionfree. That event is free and open to the public. It will also be the second stop for sanders whos going to meet with africanamerican religious leaders here in the city of philadelphia as well today. Hes calling his victory a turning point in 2016 race. But he still trails trump in the overall delegate couldnt. Cruz picked up more than 30 delegates in his defeat of trump last night. And he beat him by a wide margin, 49 to 35 . Cruz says the win gives him momentum. I am more and more convinced that our campaign is going to earn the 1,237 delegates needed to win the republican nomination. Millions of votes more than anybody else. We talk about delegates which im by far and away number one, but the votes are even more impressive. Voter turnout in wisconsin was strong with folks lininghu well past closing time at the polls. Donald trump still leads the republican race with 753 delegates. Cruz is in second with 514. John kasich follows with 143. The winner needs 1,237 delegates in order to clinch the republican nomination. Heres where the democrats stand. Hillary clinton is ahead with 1,728 delegates, Bernie Sanders has 1,058. The winner here needs 2,883 delegates. Voters in pennsylvania and delaware will head to the polls on april 26th. New jersey voters make their choice on june 7th. Now, the governor will speak to reporters at 11 30 this morning as he continues to wrangle with state Assembly Leaders about a proposed state takeover of the financially struggling resorttown. Governor christie warned yesterday that Atlantic City could go broke by memorial day unless the state intervenes. Now, Atlantic City mayor don guardian opposes a state takeover. He plans a News Conference at 12 30 today in response to the governors comments. They planned to shut down city hall for three weeks beginning this friday because the city was due to run out of money. City council will vote today on a plan to avoid that shutdown by paying workers every four weeks instead of every two weeks. More love this morning for the National Champion wildcats.
