Certainly not an all day rainfall. Well look at the forecast when i come back in less than ten minutes. Still no end in strike for the third day of the septa strike. Talks will resume later this morning. Septas chair called a meeting to negotiate in good faith and if necessary to suspend the strike for election day. Tracy, were updating you every ten minutes on the regional rails for any delays we see. Right now, were just letting you know what to expect because they occurred yesterday morning and additionally into the evening commute as well. We started to have about a 15minute delay. Well see regional ripple effect. Theres an accident on woodhaven road on the northbound side. One lane still getting by. Not a lot of traffic in the area. Looks like a Police Officer and ambulance there as well. So something definitely want to be cautious. Theres an accident at westwood street. Now to new jersey over in bellmawr, theres a disabled tractor trailer. Just before exit 26m before you get to 76 or 676. Maybe you have to get to the freeway. Its right over there on the shoulder. So watch for that. Either way, you see were still in the green for the most part on 295. Vai. We continue our live team coverage. Reporter well, things are pretty quiet at this particular station right now. The biggest hangup between the union and septa seems to be pensions. Both sides did meet again later this morning, overnight. So far, they have not been able to work out a deal. Late last night, septa released a statement saying on several occasions this week, their negotiator felt progress had been made. But septa is saying the union brought things to a halt. Theyre also asking the union to assure the public if a deal isnt reached by tuesday, the strike will be suspended by election day to get people an opportunity to get to the polls. If not, septa says it will enjoin in the strike. We havent heard from the union since the talking ended. In the early hours of this morning, the union wanted to increase pension packages. They wanted to Keep Health Care affordable. And theyre also demanding steadier schedules for employee. Many in ways, the strike has already crippled the city when the buses, subways and trolleys stopped. More than 900,000 people were left trying to figure out alternative ways to get around. It takes me about 15 or 20 minutes to get to work. Today it took me 2 1 2 hours. D. C. Doesnt this problem. New york doesnt have this problem. We allow our unions to have so much power and control that it shuts our city down. Reporter and those talks are scheduled to resume at 11 00 this arrange. Police found a burned can body under a schuylkill overpass. Nbc10s matt delucia is live at the scene. Reporter tracy and vai, police right now have no evidence to indicate that this body was intentionally set on fire. But the atf is here investigating. They have a dog sniffing around to see if there were any accelerants used or this was, in fact, accidental. Help step out of the way. Right where it meets up with 72. We still have a fire truck at the scene. This is about 2 30 this morning. People are driving around this area. They called 911 because they saw something on fire. It wasnt until firefighters got here that they saw there was a human body engulfed in flames. Found under the schuylkill expressway. The body was burned so badly, at this point, they dont know how old the person is or either if its a man or a woman. Police described the spot as a makeshift homeless camp but there was no one here when firefighters showed up. You can tell us how unusual this is for Something Like this to happen . Anytime you find a body fully engulfed in flames were going to naturally going to use water to extinguish the fire, that is unusual. Reporter the medical examiner still here at the scene. The body was removed from that location in the last half hour, at this point, police tell me there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body other than the burns, of course. Oftentimes, police say Homeless Individuals start a fire to keep themselves warm. Bear in mind. Were close to 60 degrees right now. That theory is at the bottom of the list.
