Philadelphia international and wilmington have been down to 30 degrees when we went on the air. Now its starting to warm up a little bit. We have a bit of an easterly wind blowing across the delaware towards Philadelphia International. Thats boosting the temperatures there. You still have to bundle up for most of the area. South jersey, 24 degrees. Dover at 28 degrees. We will see lots of sunshine. This is the view from here at the nbc 10 studios. Aly bit of a breeze will start us off at 8 00, just at 10 miles an hour. Well still be at 10 miles an hour at 11 00. Then it becomes southerly. That will help warm our temperatures during the afternoon hours in spite of the clouds coming in. Well see plenty of sunshine before the clouds take over. Completely clear this morning. Nice and clear at 8 00. 34 degrees. By 11 00, 45 degrees. Well be in the low 50s at 2 00 this afternoon. I expect us to warm into the middle 50s during the afternoon hours. The sunshine, so bright to start with during the day today. The sun coming up just before 7 00. In fact, were about 40 minutes well see brilliant sunshine today but as clear as it is today, clouds will start moving in this afternoon. And then overnight tonight well be tracking some showers in from the west. So at this time tomorrow morning well likely see showers in the area. And come tomorrow, theres a possibility of some showers and some thunderstorms. But then they move out by late in the afternoon and the evening. Might see a few showers during the Late Afternoon hours. But then on friday, cant completely rule out a chance of a shower for villanovas big parade. Thats getting off of the exit ramp towards the schuylkill or 30th street station there. We did take a look at the schuylkill expressway where we had an accident around the girard avenue on ramp headed to the schuylkill eastbound. We did have an off ramp blocked. Again, headed eastbound towards 95 on the vine right here, still looking okay. This is 295 right around the black horse pike over in bellmawr, new jersey. No problems either direction. At this point, it would still be a long shot for him to win the nomination. Hillary clinton has 1,692 delegates. Bernie sanders has 1,027. To win the democratic nomination, 2,383 delegates are needed. Last night was also a big night for ted cruz who won the republican primary in wisconsin. Cruz calls his win a turning point for his campaign. Donald trump refused to give a concession speech and he is still leading the pack in delegates on the republican side. Trump has 753 delegates, cruz right now is in second with 514. John kasich follows with 143. The winner needs 1,237 delegates in order to clinch the republican nomination. We are just weeks away from the primaries in our area. Voters in pennsylvania and delaware head to the polls april 26th. New jersey voters make their choice on june 7th. In a motion filed last week on friday, prosecutors claim that former nbc 10 news anchor renee chenaultfattah helped disguise an 18,000 bribe as palt for the sale of her porsche. Prosecutors also said in that motion that in a recorded call she told an Insurance Company that she was keeping the car in her garage. The pennsylvania turnpike wants to make changes in response to the january blizzard that stranded hundreds of drivers. Yesterday turnpike officials released a report on what they will do to better manage traffic during weather emergencies. Officials may try to increase Truck Parking areas alongside the turnpike. Another idea, to have emergency supplies stashed in strategic locations so they can be quickly given out to any stranded drivers. Philadelphias mayor is the top public official in the city. Of course but hes not necessarily the highest paid. Turns out that distinction goes to medical examiner sam gulino who pulls in 260,000 a year.
