Reporter were getting wrap up the second week of delays because of that train defect that has basically sidelined onethird of the Regional Rails. You can see folks here at the septa station here in jenkintown. Just waiting for a train to arri arrive. Were getting ready for hot and muggy temperatures. Already muggy out here at this hour. Septa is giving an update this morning. Perhaps a glimpse at the cracks that weve been talking about the past couple of weeks. Look at the frames of these railcars that caused all of them to be taken out of service for repairs. We asked about the delays and overcrowding because of that and other issues in the next few days, of course, would be the heat. That heat could cause the overhead power lines to expand and sag. Most of the rails could be heating up as well that could cause damage. Some of the septa trains have been running a little slower for safety reasons. Yeah, thats adding to the delays here. Septa has been getting extra help with added trains from other transit agencies over the past few days. Another live look here, this morning, Regional Rail, you see another train arriving here. As i look inside the windows, really not seeing any overcrowding. This is over the past couple of weeks where we started to see the overcrowding issues. Not too many people waiting on the platform at this hour. But definitely not a good day to be standing outside. As i mentioned already muggy here. The sun isnt even up. We had rain here earlier this morning. So, we have seen a lot of people waiting in their cars for as long as possible and getting out here at the last minute to jump on bore the trains. New this morning, the department of transportation has proposed new rules for transporting oil and other hazardous Flammable Liquids in rail tanker cars. New oil train caste vuls would require rail carriers to have a comprehensive Oil Spill Response plan for all trains carrying hazardous liquids and sharing information with state and local agencies. This follows a number of Oil Train Disaster including the redialment in quebec that killed 27 people. And this derailment caused a concern in 2014 on a bridge over the Schuylkill River and expressway in philadelphia. The accident left a tanker car and other freight cars leaning off the side of the bridge for several days. Drop whatever you have in your hands. Get your hands up now Fresno Police in california released body cam video of a policeinvolved shooting last month that ended in the death of an unarmed teen. The body cam video shows 19yearold Dylan Millner ignored Police Commands to show both of his hands. The police chief said its important for the public to see, he prays it wont spark violence. He had something in his right hand. It turned out to be a piece of plastic with clay inside. Senator scott said he is not immune to being stopped by police. Scott said he usually avoids calling attention to his race. He said yesterday being scrutinized by office when entering the federal building. He was stopped seven times last year. People rallied at cottman and frankford in mayfair yesterday. They held up signs and drivers honked horns all to show solidarity with the men and women in blue. A bunch of my buddies, theyre still Philadelphia Police officers today with all of the violence going on in the u. S. , they need to know that were here to back them. Theres cops out here, in the city, every single day, getting dangerous people off the streets. People also rallied in roxborough to show support. Officials say there were no major incidents at either rally. And dallas rapt transit officer brent thompson, a former marine who left behind six children and a wife of just two weeks. Reporter one of the most surprising statistics that i saw was that 8 million drivers admitted to engaging in extreme road rage which basically means they either got out of their cars to confront another driver. Or purposely hit another driver in their vehicle. In the northeast, drivers will nearly 30 more likely to honk, yell or make angry gestures. Aaa says 51 of drivers admitted to tailgating on purpose. In case you were wondering, thats about 104 million people. Another 47 said they yelled at another driver. And nearly 6 million drivers say they bumped or rammed another vehicle on purpose. Weve all heard the add damage dont say things we mean when were angry. Reporter who are the biggest offenders, males and Young Drivers were significantly more likely to engage in aggressive behaviors behind the wheel. What it will feel like during the day today, that really ramps up by 3 00 this afternoon in philadelphia it will feel like 102 while the actual temperature is 93 degrees.
