Merging as a result, were seeing a mix of rain, of snow. In some spots freezing rain. Which creates ice layers on things like power lines, trees, roadways and sleet which makes that slushy mess along those roadways. Theres a closer look at where it is. Pretty much up against mercer county. Burlington county. Line between new jersey and pennsylvania. Through philly and into wilmington as well. Then you see deeper greens and yellows. Thats going to compact what we get on the ground so youve got the two to three inches that fell early this morning. Now youve got wet slushier icy mix crunching it down. That snow rain mix basically falls on i95 from trenton coming up to philadelphia and trenton. Thats a problem. Looking at ground reports. Mix of precip. Probably a little warm layer above them. Right near freezing in philly and wilmington. I know people might look out the window and think im going to work. This doesnt look that bad. Really its still bad. Still a threat. Got the flooding concerns. The heavy snow north. Threat along i95 corridor. Thats going to be slick roadways. Freezing rain. Going to make icy roadways and power lines a big problem. No joke.
