Were told the second victim is a 17yearold girl shot multiple times. She was taken to Temple University hospital in stable condition. Police tell us the two victims were found inside the car near pike street and north park avenue. No word yet on a suspect and motive in that shooting. Also new from overnight, a suspect is under arrest in the stabbing of a 13yearold boy. Nbc 10 was on scene along holden street in west philadelphia. Police tell us the stabbing happened just after midnight. The boy is in stable condition. Medics are treating for a stab twound his arm. Happening today a salute to philadelphia First Responders at the rothman rink at dilworth park. For First Responders and family members. The event runs from 1 00 to 4 00 and designed as a thank you to the citys emergency workers. Mayory, son of a firefighters, will also attend. A tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Yesterday, dozens of people paid tribute at st. John the Evangelist Church at a memorial mass. They remembered firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty. Philadelphia firefighters had to rescue a man after a staircase crumbled under his feet. Investigators tell us the victim injured his leg when the stairs gave way under him. He was trapped until firefighters could free him. City inspectors were called out to the building to investigate. Were learning more about the victim of this deadly Apartment Fire in burlington coun county. We first brought it to you as breaking news friday night. A viewer watching nbc 10 news saturday morning recognized the building because her aunt lived in the building. The woman became worried after she realized no one had heard from her relative so she went to the scene of the florence tollgate apartment and spoke with firefighters. They did another search and found 72yearold irene thorn avillion dead on the couch. The victims family told us they didnt even know about the fire until they saw it on the air. Called the hospital, called the red cross. I kept calling everywhere and they said, no, we dont have her, we dont have her. Eight people were displaced by the fire, six people, including three First Responders treated for minor injuries. The cause of that blaze is still under investigation. So as we go farther out, well see where this low pressure system is, just pushing out of the ohio valley through the virginias. We do expect that system to come our way this. Thats why i say hang onto the umbrellas if youre heading out this afternoon, early evening, because will be mild with temperatures in the upper 50s, even 60s in some parts of the region, then the showers come through. The good news is this system is a quick mover and should be out of here by early tomorrow morning for the start of our workweek commute.
