This is a live camera looking out right now, and you can see we do have some of that patchy fog i was talking about visibility on camera. Now, its not that its going to be hanging around all day or not even through your whole morning but in the Early Morning hours you may run into some spots of fog. Theres a little more dense in spot areas. So heres the look. Remember, the max youre going to see is 10 miles of visibility. So a lot of areas are fine. Pottstown, six miles, blue bell at three miles right now. If you look at philadelphia, northeast philly, it is a little lower a half mile visibility in philadelphia, northeast philly at three miles right now. And we are looking even into new jersey at some areas around five to ten Miles Per Hour. Again, not a big issue at five to ten but that half mile reporting in philadelphia could affect your driving. So heads up, as you get out the door, you may run into some fog. Turn on the low beems as you drive along with fog lights. Temperatures 49 degrees in philadelphia, 43 for pottstown 47 mount pocono and 48 lancaster. Thats a big difference from yesterday when we were looking at upper 20s to low 30s outside. A septa strike could be on the horizon. In just hours workers will vote on whether or not to walk off the job as an impact in contract negotiations continues. The strike would start november 1st and impact bus, subway and trolley service. Nbc 10s Monique Braxton joins us live with more details. Good morning, monique. Hi, rosemary. Well the threat of a strike couldnt be more real today. As the transit workers come together in just a couple of hours to vote to stay on the job, or walk out. Come november 1st the hustle and bustle of local streets as we know it filled with buses, trolleys and trains would be silent. A spokesperson says they could walk off the job when the contract expires on halloween. The outstanding issues for the 51 employees of septa are not about salaries. They want pension equity or increases in pension like managers of septa are currently receiving. Health care has always been a Sticking Point in previous strikes because the jobs, according to the union, are labor intensive, and they say their people are exposed to elements, as well as other people. And a final issue involved, scheduling. Were told recent hires want to be assigned to either morning or evening shifts. They also want longer lunch breaks. Right now theyre allotted 15 minutes. We spoke with riders about the conflicts that could arise should the union vote to strike. Oh, god. I dont really know what to say about that one. How will people get out and vote . And right now you see a bus rolling by here on Market Street just over my shoulder. Now the union tells us they will gather at 10 00 this morning. If they decide to strike, they will return to work on election day to make sure everyone who wants to get to the polls can do so. No doubt well be following the developments.
