Temperatures right now into the 60s, still feeling a little cool, but those will be coming up into the 80 as we head in through the afternoon. Philadelphia right now, 69 with a mostly clear sky. A little cooler there toward our pennsylvania suburbs. 63 degrees. New jersey, 67. Out toward the Lehigh Valley as usual in the lower 60s. A little cooler there out toward the Lehigh Valley. Wind flow coming in out of the north and west. Bringing in cooler and air and also drier air. Looks like well continue to see the humidity come down through the course of the afternoon. Winds coming out of the north and west at 8 Miles Per Hour toward the philadelphia area. A little bit of a breeze out there, but overall, not too bad. Radar and satellite looking very quiet. Not only locally, but across most of the northeast, extending to the midatlantic. No rain to speak of as we head into today. Absolutely beautiful out there. Sunny and dry. Now, as we head into monday, i think most of the day will be dry. However, i am seeing a chance for at least a spotty shower or two, mostly to the south in the afternoon. Well take a closer look at that coming up. Thank you so much. We have breaking news. 24 people are in the hospital right now following a bus crash in williams township, northampton county. The bus flipped over on the eastbound side of interstate 78 around 3 30 this morning. Were told it belongs to a private company. Authorities also tell us none of the victims appears to be seriously hurt. Well have another update on the breaking news coming up in 30 minutes. New this morning, the Powerball Jackpot is now the Third Largest in the history of the drawing. There was no winner last night, so the prize is now an estimated 650 million. So many people buying powerball tickets, but once again, at 21 straight drawings since early june, no jackpot winners. We do know that a few people from our likal area woke up much richer this morning. A player from new jersey and one from pennsylvania striking gold with 1 million ticket each. With no jackpot winner, this prize grows larger. The next drawing will be 650 million. You might remember that the largest Powerball Jackpot in history was last january in 2016. A recordbreaking 1. 6 billion. And we should note that new jersey is a pretty lucky state. Last year, the smith family bought a ticket at a 7eleven in trenton. They won 429 million. City counsel woman helen gym is renewing her call to remove the statue from center city. She tweeted its time to move the statue to a proper setting and recognize that memorials arent permanent testaments to a fixed history. Her tweet followed the vandalism of another piece of art dedicated to rizzo. In the past week, police have arrested a total of three people for vandalizing rizzo artwork. First, his statue in center city was egged and spray painted. Then, early yesterday morning, his mural in south philadelphia was splashed with paint. New this morning, a man shot twice by police in north philadelphia is in the hospital in critical condition. Nbc 10 was on the scene on north aulder street. The shooting happened around 11 00 last night. Police tell us the suspect was armed. They say an officer called out for him to drop his weapon and then opened fire when he failed to do so. Comedian dick gregory who used his humor to bring attention to the Civil Rights Movement has died. Gregory broke barriers as a black comedian, and he was one of the first africanamerican comedians to be embraced by White America in the early 60s. Through his jokes, he spread messages about social justice and later about living a healthy lifestyle. Dick gregory was 84 years old. A call for equality as a response to hate. Thats what drew thousands of people to rallies across the nation yesterday. Nbc News National correspondent Chris Pallone has details. Reporter in boston, thousands on the march. City leaders feared it would attract hate groups. I was thinking we should show up to let the protesters of the socalled free speech rally know theyre in the minority. The free speech rally attracted about 50 people and lasted less than an hour. The media spread a narrative that were White Nationalists. Were nonpartisan, directly first amendment. Skirmished broke out as police led the group off the common. Two trump spouers now being escorted out of the boston common. I spoke to them moments ago. They thought everything would be fine. But suddenly here we go. Are you okay . Whats your name . Some counterprotesters burned a confederate battle flag. President trump tweeted, i want to aplau the many protesters in boston speaking out against bigotry and hate. Our country will soon come together as one. Boston Police Arrested 33 people who threw rocks and bottles at them. 99. 9 of the people were here for the right reasons. Thats to fight bigotry and hate. People held similar antihate gatherings across the country, including dallas with more than 2,000 people called for the citys confederate memorial to be taken down. One south Jersey Library has been chosen by nasa to get special resources for the historic Solar Eclipse. Cydney long tells us about the out of this world opportunity for local families. I never knews with these kinds of lenses when you look into the sun could actually see the sun as an orange dot. As a winner in one of libraries chosen from 500 contestants, the branch was awarded grant money and the highly coveted solar safety eclipse glasses. It shows what nasa thinkoffs what we do in camden county. Bill took part in the mission, setting example to kids where he grew up that protecting your pupils is top priority. We have a chance of showers in the south, so thats something to keep in mind if youre planning on watching.
