Today thousands of women will march on washington demand that President Trump and congress focus on issues that affect them. That includes many from our area. Crowds of people boarding buses at 30th street station earlier this morning. Now once in d. C. They will march in front of the capitol and white house. Pamela osborne is live for us in washington, d. C. Washington is a destination for so many women from our area as we just saw from that video. Give us more details about todays march. Reporter absolutely. Ill step out of way. A lot of people make being their way towards the Capitol Building right now. More difficult to see with the traffic out there. Im sure you can see the signs, the pink hats down that way. Were just two hours way from the kickoff of this rally thats going to lead into that march which happens later this afternoon. We have seen men and women of all background coming together here to this morning. They are referencing a wide array of issues they are concerned about. Reproductive rights. Civil rights. Rights of lgbtq americans. Many wearing knit hats. Trying to create a sea of pink. They want to send a message to President Trump. One group said they are not objects and for them being here today is a confirmation fact that they matter and so do the rights of all americans. Because i dont think theres been enough of this in the media. I dont think people tuned threats that the Current Administration has for removing people, for side lining people, for not respecting people. And one day after the inauguration we want people to know that thousands of us are paying attention and we do care. Just show solidarity. To show we have a voice. We care about each other. We will not be shut down or shut up. Reporter you can see a group of those demonstrators making their way down towards the Capitol Building right now. Those ladies we spoke to traveled from maryland. Earlier this morning we showed you live pictures of buses full of people from philadelphia as they were traveling here. The pennsylvania spokesperson for the chapter there said they are expecting anywhere from 12 to 20,000 pennsylvanians to show up here today. The city expecting to see at least 200,000 demonstrators. The womans march on philadelphia is set for 10 00 this morning along the ben franklin parkway where organizers expect tens of thousands of people will demonstrate. Similar marches defending civil and human rights will be held in dozens of cities across your country today. With a look at traffic now its important to note because there will sob much activity down. Some road closures are already in effect for todays womens march here in philadelphia and Francesca Ruscio is joining us now with a look at those. Going to be very busy today. We can expect our delays in and out of the area because of the demonstrations throughout the course of the demonstration which will be taking place at the ben franklin parkway as well as egans oval. I have some road closures in place which should lift at noon time today. The ben franklin parkway between 16th street and 20th street will be closed. 19th street between race and vine and race street between 20th and logan circle. Those closures will lift out of here at noon. As an fyi ndan head road we have an overturned vehicle. Police activity blocking out the right lane as well as the shoulder. Back to you. Also this at 10 00 womens marches in new jersey and delaware will be taking place simultaneously with others around the country. The womens march on trenton will go from the citys war memorial to new jersey state house. Womens march in newark, New Castle County will begin at the Unitarian Universalist there. So help me god. M. 52 by 3 00 in the afternoon. Low 50s in the afternoon for new jersey right around 50 degrees for the jersey shore. Those are your temperatures as we go along. Noreaster timeline sunday into monday were tracking steadier rain by sunday night. Monday morning, the strongest winds monday, the heaviest rain. This morning the Delaware River bridge ling the pennsylvania and new jersey turnpikes is closed indefinitely for emergency repairs. The bridge is a major connector between bucks and burlington counties. Mile and a half long span opened to traffic back in 1956. Turnpike officials from both states jointly shut down the bridge and dispatched repair crews late yesterday. Take a look at our Traffic Camera well show you of the empty span right there. Officials closed the span after a paint worker spotted a crack in the pennsylvania side of the bridge. Homeowner fred lives just yards from the bridge and he told us the repairs are long overdue. Some of the debris did come down, coming in to my yard. Turnpike officials are not quite sure how long the repairs will take. We dont know when these repairs will be lifting on out of here. It will be pretty busy. But just a few blocks away from the president ial motorcade it was a different picture. Protesters set fire to a limo and a tv news car. Police dressed in riot gear tried to get protesters to back away peacefully. [ gunshot ] people also threw rocks and bricks, shattered windows and burnt trash cans. Police did arrest more than 200 protesters. The crowds for yesterdays inauguration numbered in the hundreds of thousands. But visually at least it was smaller than the one packed the National Mall for president obamas first inauguration eight years ago. Take a look for yourself. This picture shows a split image. Nbc 10 was on the scene along north 10th street. The attack happened just after 1 00 this morning. The victim is in stable condition. So far there have been no arrests in that case. Really whats going to happen we get later into your morning things will start to thin out and the afternoon we could see patchy fog in spots. We got moisture and temperatures that will stagnate. This is the firstround of rain that hits us. Quite a bit of strength right now. Because of it there are tornado watches and warnings in place. Thats going to be heading our direction. Not quite as strong but still providing us with the moisture we need to see our first round ever rain move through. This is saturday night as we go into your surprised morning. Notice as we see these showers passing around 4 30 in the morning, running a little ahead of schedule. Your Morning Hours tomorrow we see that firstround of rain and could see pockets of heavier rain. Heavier showers are moving by. Then we see more weak rain lingering through the rest of the day. This is light and breaks in the afternoon. A damp day on sunday. We see these lingering showers by 5 30. As we go overnight sunday inmonday the rain starts to invade. The we see more deep greens, yellows and orange. Rain gets heavier at 8 00 a. M. 12 30 in the afternoon yellow picking up indicates more heavy and strong rain that moves through. We do have heavier showers thats when we pick up the total accumulation for the area. We could see around an inch to two inches across the board by time that passes. This is a noreaster. The storm system will move offshore and strengthen as it does so which will combine with strong winds and cause those issues for us. Thats what were looking at for tomorrow night into monday. We have a high within watch along your coastal spots where gusts could be up to 50 Miles Per Hour. Inauguration protests did turn violent gunfire broke out at one demonstration.
