Police in Montgomery County are looking for this missing uber driver. 45yearold kristen laib of abingdon township was last seen tuesday evening. She was driving a 2003 subaru lgs. It has the license plate hja8582. If you have any information as to her whereabouts, call abingdon township police. New this morning, Philadelphia Police are investigating a double shooting around olney around midnight. Officers found shell casings at the scene but no one injured. Later, detectives say, they tracked down two victims, both 17 years old. The two are now in stable condition with leg wounds. Police have investigating what led up to this crash in philadelphias Spring Garden neighborhood. A car, as you can see, slammed into a tractortrailer at the intersection of north 3rd and Spring Garden streets around 2 30 this morning. Nobody was hurt, but the crash ruptured the trucks fuel tank, so a special crew had to be called in to clean up the spill. This is video of a random attack that sent two philadelphia teenagers to the hospital. They were out on a date when they got caught in the melee. This morning, were hearing from the victims as Police Continue to search for their attackers. Nbc 10s matt delucia is live in honey park with the details about what happened. Matt . Reporter and rosemary, the teens were leaving from a carnival right here in hunting park. This was on tuesday night, as you mentioned. And there havent been any arrests. One of the victims say she cant sleep because of this. Take a look at those victims here. Jayla santana and Miguel Fernandez. Jayla is still in a neck brace after what happened earlier this week. Both of them were on a date here by whitaker and erie avenues at this carnival. On tuesday, they were walking out when they say a group of teens out of nowhere attacked them for no reason. And much of that attack was captured on cell phone video. A reminder, terribly, of what happened. I blacked out at one point. As soon as she got in, she had to go straight into trauma. She was still screaming the whole time, walking and limping there. Reporter police are investigating. No arrests and no update on this case. Weve been checking all morning. Jayla says one of the attackers, though, reached out to her on social media and apologized for that attack. Well keep you posted on what happens. Police tell us a 13yearold boy is in the hospital in critical condition. The shooting happened here on stofer road last night. Police are looking for the gunman. Fire investigators in Montgomery County are looking for the cause of this house fire that left a woman in critical condition. Sky force 10 was over the scene on abby lane last night. Our nbc 10 cameras also caught the aftermath at ground level. Flames trapped the woman inside until crews could rescue her. Now to new details in the u. S. Attack on an isis stronghold in afghanistan. An afghan official says 94 isis fighters were killed. Thats up from an earlier estimate of 36. The u. S. Dropped the socalled mother of all bombs on a tunnel complex thursday. The bomb was the largest nonnuclear weapon ever used in combat by the u. S. Military. And now to developments overseas about north korea. The country is celebrating its most important patriotic holiday with a massive military display under the control of leader kim jongun. This as tensions are growing over the tests of a Nuclear Warhead and a potential response by the u. S. And its allies. Yesterday, north korea accused President Donald Trump of pushing the world toward war, by tweeting that the north is quote unquote looking for trouble. In the middle of this crosstalk stands japan and south korea and tens of thousands of u. S. Troops in the area. Yesterday, President Trump had this response when asked if dropping the mother of all bombs in afghanistan was meant to send a message to kim jongun. I dont know if this sends a message. It doesnt make any difference if it does or not. North korea is a problem. The problem will be taken care of. Two u. S. Activists plan to march for economic gist, demanding transparency from both the president and corporate america by the way, this years tax deadline is tuesday, april 18th. Today marks four years since the deadly Boston Marathon bombing. Two devices planted near the finish line exploded, killing three spectators and wounding 260 others. A Police Officer was also killed during a struggle with the two terrorists who were brothers. Police shot and killed the older brother. Al jury convicted the younger brother on federal charges. Is 67 is the forecast high we will see late day, about 6 00, still around 67 degrees and mostly cloudy. Well also be breezy today. Gusts 25 Miles Per Hour. And isnt the suburbs, 61 at 2 00 p. M. And 63 by 6 00. Very close to the same forecast for the Lehigh Valley, berks county area should see highs peak near the mid60s. In delaware, 58 at 10 00 a. M. 56 in new jersey. To the midlow 60s at 2 00. And sneaking in just a few spots of 70degree temperatures. I think that will mostly be served for southern delaware, closer to mid60s in new jersey and along the shore, pretty constant here, mid to upper 50s, as high as we go due to the influence of that ocean air. Yesterday, homeowners in margate dropped their lawsuit against the state and its protective sand dune rebuilding plan. Paench passengers traveling through new yorks penn station are hoping for a calmer weekend after not one, but two innocen s incidents at the transportation hub last night. As you can hear and see, chaos erupted after Amtrak Police used a taser to arrest a man. Some people thought the noise was a gunshot, and so they started running, triggering a stampede. Luggage, kids, everybody was running. So just happy mow that, as i can hear right now, i think its a false alarm. But everybodys just really nervous. It was a stampede. Everybodys just really nervous. 16 people had to be treated for minor injuries following that stampede. Tensions were already high at penn station after a power problem caused this new Jersey Transit train to get stuck in a tunnel between new jersey and ng new york for three hours yesterday afternoon. The power outage led for delays for both amtrak and new Jersey Transit trains. The train finally pulled into penn station around 6 30 last night. This is the latest setback for new Jersey Transit just this month. You may remember back on april 3rd, a train derailed at penn station at the height of the morning rush. That shut down service out of manhattan for more than two hours. Four people were hurt in that derailment. And just ten days before that, an acela train slipped off the tracks and bumped a new Jersey Transit train also at penn station. If you fly delta, you may actually want to be an overbooked plane. Thats because delta is now allowing its supervisors to offer passengers up to 10,000 to give up seats on overbooked flights. Delta hopes to avoid any public outcry or a Public Relations nightmare like the one that United Airlines is currently facing. Security officers were caught on this video dragging a passenger off his united flight last sunday night. Thats because he didnt want to give up his seat. The lawyers say they will probably file a lawsuit. United is now reviewing its policies, including incentives for customers to give up their seats on overbooked flights. United plans to announce any actions on that note by the end of the month. Lets head out west now. Police in mesa, arizona, say a deadly truck accident took the life of a former nfl stars 3yearold daughter. Investigators say todd heap accidentally ran the toddler over with a truck in the driveway of his home yesterday. Heap was an allpro tight end. They would like to find the man in the video. She is a great girl who loves children and animals and has plenty of love to give. Glasgow now at 52 degrees and newark at 53. Were at 51 in Harmony Hills and reedy point now in those mid50s at 54 degrees. Were at 55 in felton. Lincoln, youre at 57. Thats the same for milton. 57 degrees now, but heading right to those 60s. And i do think in southern delaware, specifically, some low 0st are possible by later this afternoon. Now were looking at the jersey shore neighborhoods. Notice where the winds are coming from. Thats going to keep temperatures a little cooler today, in these areas. Were at 55 right now at cape may courthouse. 54, atlantic city. But inland right now still low as well. The thing is, as we get into the afternoon, these numbers probably wont rise much. But inland numbers will pick up into those mid and upper 60s as a result of some of the warmer air that is available once you get a land breeze instead of a direct sea breeze. It really does differentiate the temperatures for our jersey shore neighborhoods. Heres our radar and satellite views, so you can see those clouds that are increasing across the area. It was just a few summers ago when thousands of people took on the ice bucket challenge to raise awareness and funding for als. Today a new challenge kicks off. Its called the mustard challenge. Joining us this morning is the woman behind the movement, amy summy. Shes also the cofounder of the nonprofit, no more kids with cancer. Thank you for being with us. Thank you for having me, rosemary. Fuirst, youre a local mom. Tell us about your daughter. My daughter was 9 when she was diagnosed with brain cancer. Her name was nia, she died at 11, a couple of years ago from brain cancer. She was treated here at chop. And when she was alive, she was raising a lot of money for kids and Cancer Research for chop. One day, she just asked me, while she was alive, if i would continue this and raise a lot of money end to childhood cancer. So here we are. And tell us what the goal and the mission is of no more kids with cancer. When we were going through the journey with nia, there were a couple of things that really stood out for us. The toxicity of the drugs. The drugs were very old. She was treated with drugs from the 1950s. That was shocking to us. And when she relapsed, there were no other treatments. The whole thing really sat on us and we said, weve got to do something. The only way through that and to change it was through actual research. The focus is 100 on research. We give all the money that donors give to us to research. And we want groundbreaking research, so we can change the outcomes for children. Quite a few doctors on your board, in fact. Yes. Yes. And were really lucky to be in the backyard of Childrens Hospital and theyve been fantastic and dr.
