Afternoon. And a man was killed walking on the sidewalk, just feet away from a group of children. So that lets me know that the person who did it didnt liver around here because they knew the kids would be outside. The kids are outside all the time. Reporter neighbors tell us that the children had been playing on the porch at the time. You can see bullets struck the fence and pierced through home. Police say one of the stray bullets grazed a woman and another hit a 6yearold girl in the leg. Classmates . Yeah,. Okay. And they were just playing . Yeah, just playing. Reporter edgar owns the house where this happened. He says the 6yearold was here visiting his daughter and he tells us that his wife was the supervising those kids. She was treated at the scene before giving statements to the police. How is the little one doing . Still in the hospital. Reporter friends say the little girl has been recovering at the hospital after getting shot twice. Shes okay. Thats the really good thing. Reporter police say the man killed out here was unrelated to the group on the porch. At this point, its unclear if he was the intended target as shooting. How do you deal with Something Like this as a neighborhood . Its hard for us because now were really on edge. Reporter so the neighbors are so alarmed after the shooting out here. Two officers in louisiana have been arrested after allegedly shooting and killing a 6year old autistic boy and injuring his father in a chase. They were taken into custody yesterday by Louisiana State police. The boys father remains in the hospital. Visitation for his sons funeral is set for tomorrow at a funeral home in mississippi. Back here at home today, family and friends will say a final goodbye to a man and his granddaughter who were struck halloween night. An out of control car jumped a curb, killing the 10yearold, her grandfather, a 65yearold and a 24yearold. The 24yearolds funeral was held earlier this week. The funeral for the two will begin this morning at 10 00 at harvestfield Community Church in bronx. Police say the driver may have had a seizer before the crash. Mayor de blasio says its been a tough week for drivers city. Just last night, an 86yearold crossing westend avenue. The driver remained on the charges. On thursday night, an 84year old woman was hit and killed as she tried to cross the street. Police the driver of a charter bus like this one did not stop and continued to connecticut. The nypd released this video of the robbers shoving and pushing the elderly man against a vehicle around 10 00 thursday night. Investigators say they grabbed his wallet from the pocket before they finally take off. The man was not hurt. Also new, police are searching for two people who attacked a woman walk through Morningside Park and tried to snatch her purse. Police released this picture of the suspects. They appear to be women. And it happened around 6 00 wednesday night near west 116th street. Investigators say the suspects took off empty handed after the 24yearold victim resisted and another person walked by. So over the entirety of the weekend, 20 degrees cooler by and overnight lows tonight will be about 30 degrees cooler than they were last night. So lets go ahead shall we . Take a look live outside. And then tonight it gets so much cooler and tomorrow it is really feeling like fall with highs in the mid and upper 50s to end your weekend. We should be at 57. So todays high was actually 72 degrees. But that happened close to the midnight hour and temperatures have been steadily dropping. For the rest of the day, we will stay steady in the low and mid60s. So certainly something to think about and then sunset tonight is at 4 46. The temperature trend, as mentioned, felt more like summer, especially yesterday or at least the the tail end of summer, 74 degrees was the high yesterday. And at midnight tonight, it was 72. And its dropping. The daytime warmth will be about low to mid60s. And tomorrow, a high of 55. And monday its 58 but we will couple the 50s with a lot of sunshine. And yes, yesterdays high of 74 degrees is the normal high for may 29th. That time of year when we are looking forward to summer and that 80degree warmth. And now were going the opposite direction. We will cool down through the weekend. We have cloud cover right now. And this will stay the course for today. Mainly cloudy skieses, notice some showers beginning to make their way in from the southwest. This all associated with a front and an area of low pressure to the southwest. So today theres a chance for showers out there. But best bet will be south of the city. And for today, looking at the lingering chance of wet weather. Tomorrow High Pressure is the dominate feature with sun is shine and cooler air as well, a fall feel tomorrow, the mid50s with a stiff breeze. And monday, a cool beauty, highs in the 50s with a lot of sunshine. For today, not a bad day, just mainly cloudy. And 63 degrees will be the temperature, northwest winds at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Overnight, that slight chance of a shower early but skies will be clearing late and temperatures will be tumbling. Degrees. Well, tonight at midnight, it will be closer to 43 degrees. Kathy griffin. Its amazing. So many alisters in one big event. That must be tough to put together. Well, every year we go, how are we going to beat this one . And we seem to do it. And it coincides with stand up for highway lows and dineout for heroes. It was an event we created nine years ago. I went to the foundation and said we wanted to help out and raise money for his organization. And we created standup for heroes then.
