Its here in bellmore its across into western suffolk, in areas like lindenhurst, they usually flood. The folks know who they are. And today we found those people moving cars, clearing out garages and basements. And municipalities as well, they have been cleaning out storm drains and they are also readying their arsenal of snow clearing equipment. Them people to stay off the roads to stay home. Reporter when andrea comes back out of the hotel she confronts the suspect sitting in her car. The suspect demand her purse. She refuses. She screams. The suspect then hits her with a gun. She fights back, thats when she gets shot. The violent encounter had begun with a suspect jumping into the drivers seat of the victims car yelling at the daughter in the passenger seat, quote, give me all your money. Then grabbing her rings and hitting the woman in the head with his gun adding if your mother doesnt have any money, im going to shoot you. Hotel guests and neighbors heard the savagery unfold. I think late tonight you could start to see snow falling around there making waking up to some on the ground in new york city but still looks like most of it will be tomorrow. I think toughest hours 10 a. M. To about 7 p. M. Tomorrow. That sort of time frame. There will be a sharp cutoff where the snow is and isnt north of new york city. Wind gusts up to 60 miles an hour. Coastal flood warnings. Suffolk county not under the coastal flood warning. Thats a mistake. I think well see big wind gusts there. Look at how the models are work. You get to, say, 8 30 tomorrow 50plusmileperhour winds on the jersey shore. Montauk gets up to 67mileper hour gust. Thats going to give you problems on our shoreline. We are talking about coastal erosion and surf at the jersey shore 8 to 12 feet. Youre talking about the south shore with four to eight feet. A group on Staten Island actually robbed a teenager born with no arms. Now police have identified three suspects in the case. Cbs 2s dave carlin spoke to the victim. Reporter 18yearold carlos simon was alone on forest avenue in Port Richmond on the evening of november 30 when a group of people assaulted and robbed him. He says they were after his phone. Reporter born without arms he says often strangers can help him get things out of his pockets that he needs but he could tell right away with these men seen in photos released by police he was in trouble.
