He was in the airport when the bomb went off. He described the experience to cbs 2s sonia rincon. Reporter this video taken by a cab driver at the Brussels Airport captures some of the panic gabriel chan experienced. He had just gotten his suitcase and was looking for his driver when he felt the blast. So strong that the glass came over me and threw me and many people to the ground. All i thought about was my family. Reporter it was a sudden feeling of clarity in the middle of a cloud of debris, confusion. My instincts were just to try to survive. Make sure i would get through it and the screaming and the crying just it was deafening. Reporter as soon as he could, he made sure his family knew he was safe. He said, i just went through a lot of things i should never saw in my whole experience because were very sad. Reporter chan wasnt the only american to experience it. 19yearold mason wells of utah was badly burned. We were really close. I feel lucky to escape with what i did. Reporter he was also at the Boston Marathon the day of the bombing there. He is just reunited with his parents. Gabriel chan says the tragedy and the humanity he witnessed makes him feel a solidarity with the people of brussels. He understands having his home attacked by terrorists. He visited the belgian consulate to pay respects with his children and mother, a retired psychiatric nurse. I have worked with people who had ptsd 40 years after something happened to them. And it was in there all the time but i have never seen it raw like this. And were trying to show him that its good to cry and get out your emotions because its so awful if you stuff it. Reporter it happened in this stairwell last month when a neighbor called police for an unrelated issue. The neighbor says she was talking to officers when rosado cracked open her own door to see what was going on. Spike, a pit bull, slipped out. When i realized it was an officer in front of us, he is friendly reporter in the surveillance video, you can see spike come out of the apartment. His tail wagging as he runs over to the officer who pulls his weapon and shoots at point blank range. We are freezing the video before the gunshot. The officer just started backing away and i thought he was pointing his finger at him but he pointed the gun and shot. Everything happened in less than one minute. Reporter rosado runs out its still early in the morning. The officers go back down the stairs. Rosado is on top of the animal trying to comfort him. After several emotional minutes, much of which is too graphic to show, rosado confronts the officers. They jumped on top of me three men. Im in my undergarments in the hallway. They pinned her down to the stairs. Her whole back was black and blue. Reporter rosado says the incident has left her traumatized. All she wants now is justice. I want the officers to be disciplined for what he did to my beloved because he tore away something a family member. Reporter now,. The nypd has not released the name of the officer who fired the shot. The Department Says the incident is being reviewed by the force investigation division. A possible case of deadly road rage in suffolk county. Investigators say it is too soon to tell exactly what happened but two men were stabbed after getting into a dispute with passengers in another car. Cbs 2s Brian Conybeare has more. Detectives scoured the scene of the stabbings in west babylon after being called there by a neighbor. They responded to 1079 Straight Path in west babylon where they encountered two stabbed men. Both men were transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan hospital where one died. The other male is expected to live. Reporter police say the stabbing attack occurred after two men inside this vehicle got into an argument with the passengers of a second vehicle traveling in the same direction. A fight between the occupants of both vehicles. The other vehicle took off. We dont know how many people were in this second car that fled. Reporter police say the two stabbing victims pulled over and staggered to the home of a neighbor, who called 911. Detectives are still working on a motive. Its too early to tell. Like i said road rage its too early to call it road rage. Well have a better idea as the investigation progresses. Reporter police say its both vehicles actually knew each other. In west babylon, Brian Conybeare, cbs 2 news. The victims have not been identified yet. The suspect vehicle that fled is likely a white suv without of state plates. New Jersey Police are investigating antisemitic messages at princeton university. Employees at several buildings say the messages were sent to the universitys Network Printers yesterday and today. Investigators are trying to figure out who sent the single page flyers as they try to prevent more antisemitic messages from coming through. They say other universities are reporting similar incidents. And ready, set go. Children on long island got a head start on the Easter Egg Hunt today.
