Three suspects are wanted in what is being investigated as a hate crime. This morning were hearing from the father of the victim. Cbs2s Magdalena Doris joins us live from queens where the attack happened. Magdalena. Reporter good morning. The 19yearold victims family says he is doing well physically. Ray bisrams son was allegedly beaten by three teenagers wednesday, targeted because of his race on his own block. It was shocking. It happened so fast. In this footage of the moments leading up to the hate filled assault, you can see the suspects walking along 10 street on 34 avenue in astoria wednesday afternoon. This man pulls out a metal pipe from his sweater and charges toward the 19yearold. The nypd says one of the teenagers punched the victim while two others threatened him with a metal pipe and bat throughout the attack in yelling isis. Garcia found his injured neighbor. There was a protruding lump that came out of his head. The victims father says the damage done was more than skin deep. Right now he is traumatized. A guy punching him and another guy running with a bat and metal pipe screaming racist remarks. Traumatized. Thankfully the attack came to an abrupt end before it could escalate. Get garcia came walking up his balked at the right time. They pushed him. They went to swing the pipette him. He moved out of the way. He made his way to me. When he walked to me, they ran down the block. The three suspects are still on the loose. The Nypd Hate Crime Task force is investigating. Live in astoria, queens, cbs2 news. Thank you. A Stony Brook University student said she was groped by a man on campus. Now police are on the hunt for her attacker. Police released this photograph. He is identified as 33yearold miguel the student told police she was approached and said the bathroom in the social and Behavioral Sciences room and groped. She said she managed to push the man away and run from the bathroom. University police say they have increased patrol. Handcuffs after police say they were caught trespassing on the brooklyn bridge. Police say the men were walking on a beam around 6 00 yesterday morning. They reportedly told officers they wanted to take pictures of the sunrise. Over the past few years, there have been a number of tourists arrested for trespassing on the bridge including a german artist who swapped american flags on the bridge. A raging fire on fire island. Flames so high they were visible from the long island mainland. A vacant home burned and was nearly destroyed. Two adjacent houses also sustained damage. This happened in the fair harbor section. The fire call came in around 8 30 p. M. Last night. No injuries reported. Earlier the post the coast guard put out a boat fire on long island. Flames destroyed the 26foot boat around 10 30 a. M. Saturday morning. The boat was towed away so it would not burn other boats along the dock. The two people on board escaped an update on labor issues at new Jersey Transit. According to an agency spokeswoman, two of the unions involved have narrowly rejected a new proposed contract. The unions are present conductors and locomotive engineers. A cooling off period now goes into effect meaning there will not be a strike or lockout during the 60 day period. Negotiations can resume at any time. New Jersey Transit says all 14 other unions ratified contracts by significant margins. And a new contract is in effect. A commuter alert. 30,000 cyclists are said to hit city streets today for the annual five boroughs bike tour. Streets all over the city will be closed for the for the 42mile challenge.
