Reporter but hours later, he and other Union Members stormed out fuming after new Jersey Transit sent them a letter informing members that if they go through with the strike, all rail positions will be suspended, all workers on sick leave will lose benefits and all employees will lose their health insurance. It is apparent that new Jersey Transits notice to the Coalition Members represents retaliatory action and harassment of the Coalition Members. Reporter nj transit says the notice was required by federal law. About 105,000 commuters rely on transit trains daily and the accommodate about 40,000 of those riders. The new jersey senator says it may come to the point where federal mediators may need to intervene. We cannot afford a shut down. By the same token, you cant expect workers to be five years without a contract to exceed decisions and still be told no. Lets get to traffic and weather on the 2s now. The suspect was able to get to a neighboring town where he crashed before being taken into custody. A developing story this morning. Police charge a queens man with attempted murder after he allegedly pushed a teenager in front of an oncoming train last week. Police say he is seen on the Surveillance Video. The 15yearold girl survived with only minor injuries by squeezing between the platform and the trains wheels as it rolled by. The search is on for a man police say slashed a woman on a brooklyn street. Surveillance video shows the suspect running away. The 53yearold woman says she was talking on the phone when she was slashed on the neck yesterday morning. Attack came out of nowhere. Just talking with friends. And she was attacked from behind by somebody with a mask on, a bandanna or something and she was cut on the neck. Slashed. From one end to the other. The victim is expected to be okay. The suspect was seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. A mother makes a plea to police in brooklyn. A man accused of stabbing her son is under arrest but she wants to make sure they caught the right man. It was a hate crime. Hes a jew. And thats why d. Reporter she says the only reason her son was stabbed in the back last month was his religion. And she had tough questions for police during a packed Community Meeting at the parkway in brooklyn. Reporter the meeting came the suspect who lives in a manhattan homeless shelter is charged with assault and robbery in the knife attacks on wednesday night. One victim stabbed in the stomach got his wallet stole and the other was cut on his hands fighting off the suspect. Both are expected to be okay. Police sources say while in custody, he also admitted to stabbing the 25yearold on empire boulevard in Crown Heights one month ago. He was caught on Surveillance Video holding a knife moments after that attack. Today he was charged with attempted murder as a hate crime in that case but still on edge, the victims mother wants dna to prove this is really the guy who attacked her son. I need to make sure that the person that they got that stabbed him is truly the one that stabbed the other two people. The bottom line is, we firmly believe we have the right guy. Police say they have recovered a knife and are testing it for dna. And they are investigating another jewish man on Eastern Parkway back in november. New information on the driver accused of fatally striking two teenagers in union city last weekend. Charges against Eric Paterson were upgraded to aggravated manslaughter after investigators say he tested positive for pcp.
