They hope the newly released surveillance images lead to his arrest. Investigators said the new surveillance images were captured around the time of the attackers last violent encounter. The video released by police overnight shows the man saturday afternoon near the Apartment Building of aaron van schindel. The 83yearold badly bruised after the suspect viciously beat her. And i guess i got socked. I dont remember very much. Reporter its the same man they believe choked and robbed a noneyearold earlier this month. And choked me three times. He [ indiscernible ] reporter the suspect is responsible for at least five incidents targeting elderly during Daylight Hours, holding them up at gunpoint or knife point, attempting to rob them. The Police Believe that he first struck in ridgewood queens in january holding up a 76yearold woman and an 87 yearold man in their home and targeted neighborhoods near Prospect Park where the remaining three robberies happened in february and this month. And van schindel recovering from the injuries, eager to see the attacker behind bars. And [ indiscernible ] putting there and let them sit for awhile. Brown said that Bank Officials told him they would hold it for someone to pick it up and someone turned out to be an acquaintance. And we gave it to the person we normally see him with. They didnt ask for i. D. They said they gave it to my brother. Reporter Bank Officials here declined to go on camera was handed over. Chase released the statement. Its our understanding the man given the wheelchair regularly helps with the customers and assisted with the transactions at this Branch Location and the why under standingsing the customer identified him as the brother to branch employees on multiple locations.
