Visibilities are down in many cases to half to three quarters of a mile. Thats down to middle burrow. A lot of the cape is much lighter than before. We are noticing a pretty steady band up around, well down toward the elbow near nantucket. Most of us it will be a slow, steady accumulation except on the north shore and south shore. This goes on through 5 00, 7 is 00 9 00, 11 00. Finally we will see abatement from south to north. Even early tomorrow morning if you are around cape anne or the south shore of Plymouth County you still may be having some snow falling. By that time our expectation is that we are going to have about five to nine inches of snow in boston and eight to 10 around cape anne and eight to how about how much has fallen so far. Thats the report, but in salem we had a report of 4. 2 inches. You drop down closer to the city and arlington is 2. 3 and randolph at 3. 3 inches. Four inches of snow, pockets here and there. Traveling south of the city we see rock land picking up five and a half inches of snow but where the heaviest is once you head down toward the cape. New bedford about four inches of snow. Cross the canal and you can see what happens. Orleans nine inches and brewster 8 inches and thats where we had the strong wins as well. And all of that taking place. In case are you wondering about the islands . Fannantucket with nine inches of snow. Dozens of people have been injured after a bus crashes on 95 in connecticut. This was a charter bus heading to moheegan, i believe. At least 30 people were injured and six do have critical, critical injuries. 55 people were on board the bus tour. It brought down the rocks and debris and they have since moved it back. They pushed rocks at the same time. The good news is this is pretty dry. It is not clinging to the wires. If you come back you can see the ocean is a different story as we are pretty much at low tide. Still a lot of turbulence and lot of energy, but nothing like we saw earlier in the day hopefully as we get toward the 11 00 high tide they do not anticipate it being as high as the one this morning. North and west of there the wind have eased quite a bit. A lot of you may have been woken in the middle of the night by the wind roaring as that ocean storm was getting its act together. It is cold out now. If you are going to do a little shoveling or sweeping because it is light, dry and fluffy, keep in mind the windchill is down to the Single Digits from boston to worcester. The air is extremely cold off to the north and some of that is coming down for the looks to feature some of the coldest weather we have had so far this season. Lets back it up to what is happening right now. Some of the darker blues or the heavier bands while in general there is a large area of light snow. You can see the visibility in the live shots we are showing you here. It is not too bad in someplaces. It has come up some. A lot of the roads have been chemically treated. Anything not chemically treated is snowcovered. You are not going to get melting with the temperatures where they are. If you look here now you will see some of the darker purples. We have a band in western mass. It took so long for the snow to reach there, but now they are getting a pretty good band. It is life, dry and fluffy. Now we have a band in eastern most massachusetts. This is ocean enhanced snow that is affecting places from southern New Hampshire to the south shore. I want to show you that there are a couple of bands that have gotten stronger. Manchester and nashua. Then we have the area around cape app. The heavier snows, thats the ocean affect. The wind picks up moisture and deposits it along the coast. You can get local higher amounts. It is the same idea. Areas bordered by pembrook and the east is all getting snow right now at this time. Thats uh couple lating pretty assisted that is accumulating steadily. On the cape the snow is not as heavy as it was earlier fortunately because they really had the heaviest snow so far. It has broken up quite a bit, but there will be small, additional accumulation. I want to take you out. It is the one on the south shore that will be most significant. The deeper we get into the night , the lighter the snow will get. We will continue to have slowly accumulating snow at and then after that a lot of the snow will move to the north. Look where it could be snowing lightly for the morning commute. Anywhere from cape anne to the waters of the south shores. Otherwise for tomorrow there could be a few flakes in the air. It doesnt look like a real snowy day. Another little storm will pass out on wednesday and we may catch the Northern Edge of that which could give us small snow uh accumulation. This is the pattern we are in where may get a few small disturbances. From this storm by the time we get to 7 00 a. M. Tomorrow i do expect a south shore in cape cod to have eight to 12 inches. Amounts. Cape annes 8 to 12 and boston 5 to 9. It is light, dry and fluffy and it is happening in boston and points west slow over a long period of time. All right, well check it out. The next seven days for you, the story is a little more snow is possible around midweek. Too bitter. Late in the weekend, most this weekend, thats when it will turn bitter.
