This is associated with the remnants of Hurricane Patricia. All of this moisture is whats headed in our direction. Witnesses say the man was hit by a mercedes, but the description of the car was vague. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, but his condition is not clear this morning. How this tragedy happened is really a mystery as the conditions were clear and calm, but you can see here the boat just sunk. The crew made a mayday call late sunday about 12 miles off of tofino. Thats on canadas west coast and popular for whale watching. The Canadian Military and coast guard responded and were able to rescue 21 people using boats and helicopters. The boat that went down was described the largest in the area. Waters can get very rough, but they were not rough sunday. Witnesses saying the wind wasnt strong and the sun was out. Once they do, those winds are really going to pick up out of the south and east. Youre going to notice them. The main impact again from this coastal flooding looks good at this point. The thunder looks relatively low. We are dry monday and tuesday. The rain enters the forecast on wednesday. I do want to talk about thursday because thursday we actually have another home game.
