At the same time this area of low pressure down here with some rain in the ohio river valley moves through. Doug seven people are dead, series of random shootings in the eyeopeners Frank Holland is tracking developments. They have a strong suspect in custody. Investigators say the 45yearold was driving around the city and opening fire on random people. Police say a man and his son were shot and killed at this dealership. Five more were killed outside of a Cracker Barrel restaurant including a 14yearold girl. The shooting spree began at an apartment complex on saturday night. A woman was shot multiple times while she was standing outside with her three children. She survived and remains in serious condition. In summary it looks like Somebody Just driving around finding people and shooting them dead in their tracks. Frank the Kalamazoo County Sheriffs Office says a weapon was found in the suspects car. They say that man did not put up a fight when he was pulled over and arrested just before 1 00 this morning. So far police have not been able to figure out any motive for the murder spree. The first area of low pressure comes in wednesday afternoon and because were on the colder side, it may start off as some snow turning over to some mix and then some rain but its very quick. We are watching for some potential coastal concerns there too. We are talking about periods of heavy rain from this especially thursday morning into the afternoon. How much rain . Police say 45yearold jason dalton of kalamazoo michigan drove around the city and randomly opened fire killing seven people and injuring three others. He was arrested overnight without incident. The Fire Marshals Office says theres evidence smoke alarms were not working. The states Fire Marshalls Office says this is the 12th fatal fire this year, and the Common Thread theyre seeing a lack of working smoke alarms. The identity of one of two victims killed in a fire in groton last month has been confirmed. 66yearold Douglas Palmisano died january 28 when a fire broke out at his home on whiley road.
