And this one area, northwest of boston, we have extreme drought conditions. Our deficit, eight, nine inches. Unfortunately, they keep growing here. Im not expecting a lot of rain da clouds, and that is going to hold the temperatures down. We were 98 degrees in boston yesterday. 96 degrees on thursday. So the hottest days of the year are occurring just this past week. Big changes out there today. The heat still happening out across western new england, places like springfield and hartford, going to be feeling like over 100 degrees again today, but not here in boston. You can see whats happening. Low clouds have come on in, and its a wind off the ocean now, that northeasterly wind 69 degrees in town right now. A little bit of fog around the city. A little thicker here on the south shore. Reduced visibility near the coastline right now with the wind. That is light, but it is demoming off the water. You can see the result. Inland areas will be in the 80s today, but across western new england, we still have the heat and temperatures in the 90s. This back door cold front pressing southward now, but it kind of gets hung up across the central part of the state. The heat and humidity arent far away, and once that front lifts back out, it will be back tomorrow, but certainly not today. Where we have the most humid conditions, the hottest conditions, thats i think where well find the most numerous showers and thunderstorms today. Into the low 80s this afternoon. 80s tomorrow. Hotter overall. But if you are up north, central, northern new england, thats where the steadiest rainfall is going to be over the next couple of days. Southern new england ark lot of clouds. Maybe some breaks around lunchtime. Then we get spew the afternoon, mostly cloudy skies, a little bit of sunshine. Maybe just one or two storms popping up. Maybe focused out here near the front across worcester county. Elsewhere, im not seeing too much activity. There will be more storms off to our north and west that roll through. During the overnight hours, 70s for overnight lows. Going to be really sticky. Once that front starts to lift the other way tomorrow, we are back into the hot, humid conditions, back into the 90s tomorrow. Look at these highs, mid, upper 90s.
