We saw mpd tweet that protesters were throwing bricks, rocks and glass bottles at them and their patrol cars. We know that a number of people were arrested by police last night. Last nights candlelight vigil happened at 44th and auer the place where the 23 yearold was shot by police in the midst of a chase. Afterwards, people marched along the streets in protest of the shooting. Smiths two sisters spoke to media. They appeared emotional and angry. His older sister said violence is not the way to solve societys problems. His younger sister is still coming to grips with the loss. Protector, somebody thats supposed to be there for me.
