Data shows that there are 1553 black children looking for homes. Making up 68 percent of the Milwaukee County foster ce systm systemif 68. 2 percent of our Foster Care Community was made up of white children, we would see an intentional, strategic, agressive reponse for child who are in power. Thats part of the reason reeds black homes for black children plan. An iniative he believes will utimately help black kids succeed iall aspects of life. Its also an issue he feels the state has not properly handled. Placing a child in foster care, is a traumatic life event. In order to reduce that stress, you place children with relatives, communities and schools that theyre familiar with. This isnt the only organization paying attention.
