Neighbors here say there that age living in the apartment with the boy. Were also gathering information on a developing story. Shots fired this morning near the courthouse complex in downtown milwaukee. Cbs 58s Kyle Aevermann joins us live near 9th and state with information thats new at understanding of where this all took place. On the other side of my camera sits the Milwaukee County jail and police have confirmed at least one person has been taken into custody because of this reported shots fired incident. Milwaukee police tell us they were called to the intersection 9th and state around 9 30 this morning. By the time we arrived, the intersection was completely surrounded by crime scene tape. The intersection was closed off. Of their attention on a dodge suv on 9th street. Police have not given us any other specifics beyond that at the point. We do know no one was hurt. I spoke with a few people off camera here this morning some say they cannot believe this would happen in the heart of the city, others say they really arent surprised. Its at the gehl foods warehouse on main street near fond du lac ave. Germantown police say they got a call from an employee who claimed to have found a explosive 50 employees were evacuated as police and the bomb squad from Milwaukee County take a closer look at the device. Well continue to monitor this breaking news and share the info with you as we collect it. The trial of an oconomowoc woman charged with killing her husband will be heard in Waukesha County court. Prosecutors say Amy Van Wagner shot her husband stanley multiple times last may, and then hid his body basement of their home on elm street. Her attorney wanted the trial moved to a different county, but a waukesha judge this morning denied the change of venue request. The trial is scheduled to begin february 28th. There will be no charges for the Charlotte North Carolina Police Officer who shot and killed Keith Lamont Scott in september. The 43yearold black mans death sparked protests and added more fuel to the National Debate over whether police are too quick District Attorney annouced that 15 prosecutors reached a unanimous decision not to issue charges. They say dna evidence proves scott was armed with a handgun that day when he was confronted by police. County clerks around the state are getting their final instructions today ahead of tomorrows start of the president ial vote recount. The state Elections Commission held a teleconference this morning with officials in all 72 counties. It comes a day after a dane county judge denierm green Party President ial candidate jill steins request for a hand count of all of the ballots. If though they wont be forced to, several counties will count the ballots by hand. The Associated Press reports stein will not appeal the ruling. Steins Campaign Paid 3and ahalf Million Dollars for the recount. Most residential streets will require alternate side parking though there are some exceptions to that rule. Posted signs do take precedence so look and see dpw says if youre unsure about you can park on a certain side, youll want to take a look and see if any other cars are parked on that side. If you dont see any other cars , you probably cant park there. About 60 people were evacuated shortly before 10 this morning after an employee thought they had found an explosive device. Officials checked the building did not find anything dangerous. Milwaukee police are investigating the death of a 7 year old boy. Police were called to the childs south side home yesterday where were told he lived with his mother. Police tell us the 7 year old was brought to Childrens Hospital with numerous injuries and then died a few hours later. Medical examiner is investigating the death as a homicide. Two women in their 40s have been arrested. A shots fired incident closed the busy intersection of 9th and state streets near the urthouse complex in downtown milwaukee this morning. Police say a 45yearold man fired several shots at a 27 year old man and 24 year old woman. No one was hurt, but a parked car was hit by a bullet. The gunman was arrested.
