Summer investigators say the incident wasn t random and that turns out it was a drug deal, a prearranged meeting to sell pills. Summer that conclusion reached after interviewing the three men initially arrested in connection with the alleged robbery. The male defendant who went into the vehicle with a gun, he acknowledged to us that this was a drug deal, that he had set it up by phone, and to prove he was telling the truth, he handed over the cell phone so call log. Summer that log showing multiple calls to and from a number investigators linked to mejia, calls believed to have been made to set up the drug deal.
