Its close to average for this time of year. We may see a couple sprinkles as the day goes on. Heres 47, could see a spotty sprinkle in the morning, 50 by 5 00 this evening. Were in the middle of a warming trend once tomorrow gets here. Then the weekend, we have a lot to talk about for the weekend, more on that as the half hour rolls on. We have lane restrictions around 90 and 77, that work will wrap up around 6 00 this morning. Noticed a little bit of a slow under the speed limit. Were not seeing any problems on the big board. 90 and kennelworth, quiet right now. Hundreds gathered in downtown akron to protest the election of donald trump and call for change. About 400 protesters meeting up at Highland Square a little before midnight, then stepping off to the university of akron campus. Other protests have led to this one remained peaceful with chants of love trumps hate. We want to make sure the racism, the hatred, the bigotry thats been going on from both sides stops. Organizers said the original goal was to have 100 people to gather for the walk. Looks like they had about four times that at least. Been opened for months. One issue remains unsolved. The ban on busses was supposed to be temporary. Now its permanent. We have details on what happens next. Reporter good morning. Over the next several weeks the city and the rta will put together a plan to show why exactly keeping the 600foot stretch of superior is a good idea for cleveland. First, the plan needs to be approved before any work can begin. That means these going anywhere anytime soon. Public square reopened before the Republican National convention this summer. The original plan was to have bus service on superior. That was pushed back in august. The mayor said he listened to public input. Many said they didnt want busses to go through the square. He acknowledged this will cost money but thinks it will be worth it. People like a unified Public Square and the way it functions keep it that way. Those who have concerns are not complaining about the look of the space or enjoying the space. They said they dont want to be delayed on busses, they dont want to miss their connection, they dont want rta to lose money. Reporter officials plan to make changes to other areas to make up for not going through Public Square. The look more like euclid avenue with traffic lanes for rta and traffic signal lights to help busseses through more quickly. The city will work through the next two weeks to present the plan to a federal agency. Well be sure to keep you updated. Sarah, thank you. A firefighters job involves more than battling house fires.
