The Health Commissioner says they will be looking at 15 businesses within a 15 mile within a mile radius that have cooling towers. That is because the bacteria can infect people that breathe in mist or vapor from contaminated water. It cannot be spread personto person. A 54yearold man died in the outbreak but the ten people two weeks ago but the Health Department is focusing on three people that got sick over the summer. The commissioner says the Common Thread appears to be three businesses in east lake, the department zeroing in on consolidated precision products. Samples show some legionella bacteria but the Health Commissioner cannot confirm any of the cases came from the company.
