You can see in the satellite and radar imagery, barely a cloud in the sky, no rain on the radar, things looking dry for the rest of tonight. That front is well off to the south, there is a large system that has made its way into the northeast. Still looking at snow across the mid atlantic, but quiet conditions as High Pressure is building in for us the next couple of days. Right now, 61 in temple terrace. Treasure island, sitting at 60 this afternoon. Coast. The winds are out of the northwest between 15 to 20 miles an hour. And gusting over 20 miles an hour at times. Definitely a breezy day. And the breeze is going to stay with us for tomorrow as well. So through the evening hours, temperatures quickly falling into the 50s for us. If you have plans this evening, overnight hours. The battery probably touched the keys in the guys pocket and all of that completed the imperfect circuit if you will and caused the spark. The whole thing is caught on camera. He told us this could happen to any one of us really. Even a regular double a will do exactly that. Just not as much. A smaller battery. The guy in the video had to take off his pants, ran outside behind him and put the fire out with an extinguisher. He is doing all right, but he has Second Degree burns. Im rod carter, newschannel8. Well Health Groups are calling on Tampa General Hospital to get rid of the mcdonalds in the lobby. Rally organizers told newschannel8 that fast food does not belong in a facility that promotes health. Back in 2014, they randomly chose 600,000 people and divided them into a couple of groups and showed one group more positive posts. The other group, more negative posts for one week and they studied what is happening with those people and found whatever group they fell into, they did it. They kept it going basically. If they were in the positive group, they shared more or made more positive posts. If they were in the negative group, they made more negative posts. It is contagious. It is. I like the positivity. I notice when i put something positive up there, theres a lot more attraction. It usually happens. Yeah, it will change how we use facebook. This year marks the 40th anniversary for pasco county special olympics. As Anthony Allred shows us, [ music ] reporter it started out as a parade to honor pasco county special olympic athletes. The kids got excited because i got to fold the banners. Reporter once the traditional torch made its way around the track, it was game on. And every kid for him and herself at the 40th annual games. I got first place. I think it was fun and i competed good and tried my best. It is fun doing ball. But it is fun get. This special olympic day was full of games that included everything from ball, track and over here is the shooting. Shooting on goal. Kicking the balls. Then over here is the run and kick where they are timed and they have to run over and kick the ball into the goals. It is a timed event. Reporter i found a couple of soccer assistants who were pretty confident about their teams chances at winning. A lot of us have a really strong kick. So, they would be able to kick the ball far into the goal. I really love it because i like to work with kids and these people are all my friends. Reporter there is no doubt the kids are having a lot of fun competing and winning medals in all of these events but what i found is that the parents may just be having a little more fun. It gives me butterflies in my stomach. It just does me good, you know. Because i see the smile it puts on his face. Face. I feel great. He is coming along great.
