You cant see it and we other video we want to share with you at this hour and this is a deputy involved shooting that started around 1 this afternoon when deputies from the Hernando CountySheriffs Office were called out for a man who was having some short of a mental breakdown, a Healthcare Worker called 911 to let deputies know he needed assistance. A deputy and sergeant from Hernando County showed up at the house. Again, some of the details coming into in to us. We spoke with the she. When they went inside, they him to a safe place mentally and that did not take place, and they did, in fact, according to the sheriff, shoot this man. He is deceased and hes in his 60s and we dont know anything about his family bass next of kin is being notified. The sheriff told us this is a delicate situation, one that is tragic within the neighborhood and his agency as well. And this is trying emotionally on several different levels. Not only are you scared to death because you dont know what youre going if youre going into a person who may want to hurt themselves or whether youre going into a situation where the person may want to take someone with them, that is the first concern. The second concern is that youre going into a situation where youre trying to help somebody and it turns bad. I can tell you that that is the last thing in the world my people want to happen. He tells us the reason that the sheriff and the reason the very carefully is when that Healthcare Worker called 911, there were reports that guns were inside the house and that he wanted to hurt himself. And he is dead tonight and that investigation is going on. The sergeant and deputy are on paid administrative leave.
